MoYu WeiLong WR M 2021 Lite 3x3

Alrighty let's do this shall we? My current main is the RS3M 2020, but it was kinda dying on me since it was a bit heavy, clunky, and getting slow (it was eating up a LOT of lube). Naturally, I looked at the moyu flagship cube since their budget cubes worked so well for me. I only got this instead of the original version to save some money (especially since I won't be touching the extra junk like screws, magnets, cards, etc.).

To be honest, the cube was a little underwhelming out of the box. It felt VERY STIFF, extremely snappy and forceful corner-cutting, and bone dry. The cube was relatively fast, and the turns had almost no "feedback" since it was very stiff and dry. I felt like I didn't have much control over the cube, and it wasn't flowing at all. Honestly it felt like a slightly premium Meilong m out of the box. But hear me out. This cube has some damn potential. With the right tensions, magnet strength, LUBE (extremely important!!), this became my new main.

After messing around with all the customizations (magnet on 1 strongest setting) (even tensions) (dual adjustment on first click), lubing the core with weight 5, tracks with mystic, and pieces with dnm-37 this was a friggin beast. Before I ramble on about how awesome this cube is, I would like to warn y'all about the magnet adjustment system.

As you know, this cube has 5 different magnet customization options (1-5). You connect the black sword thingy to the blue handle, insert the took into the edge piece, and turn to the desired setting. Unfortunately this cube has got to have one of the worst magnet customization out there. Since customizing one edge doesn't apply for the back, you have to do a total of 24 turns just to try 1 setting (you also can only adjust it clock-wise). Secondly, it's not the most sturdy mechanism either. I was very careful with adjusting the edges and was fortunate to avoid breaking the plastic/mechanism on the edge pieces (unlike others whom I saw had problems in their reviews). TLDR be careful with the magnet adjustment system, adjust only what is necessary.

Now, the good part. After proper set up, this cube is fast, good corner cutting (even better than RS3M), light, small, and has a smooth papery feel. I personally had no problems switching to a 55mm cube after using 56mm cubes (takes some getting used to on PLL but that's about it). My average has dropped over a half second just by using this cube! Highly reccomend this for intermediate-advanced cubers (I average 15) who are ready to put some work into it, and don't have a particularily aggressive turning style! Hope this helps, peace.

First up, let's just say that this cube is awesome. It is really fast and has moderate weight and size. I thought that it was too fast for my liking out of the box. I lubed it with Weight 3 and Mystic. I put the magnets on strong and tightened the cube a bit. My pb dropped from 6.619 to 6.042 in a mere week and my ao5 pb is now sub-9. The corner-cutting on this cube is (on my tensions) around 40-45 degrees but I don't turn all that aggressively. This out-performs my previous main (The RS3M) by a mile.

Who would this appeal to? I think that this cube would appeal to anyone with a moderate budget that wants a fast cube that is stable. This cube would also be better if you are not a very aggressive turner because it then sometimes locks up.

Who would this not appeal to? I think that this cube would not appeal to people that like a scratchy cube feeling like the YJ MGC Evo. Even without lube, this cube is fast and smooth. This cube would also be better if you like medium-fast speed. If you like slower cubes, this would be good with Weight 5 and Dignitas on the pieces and Traxxas 50K on the core (Some random person I met at a competition's setup).

My settings: Out of the box elasticity, magnet strength on 1 (strongest), Mystic and Weight 3, with 1 (not two drops) of DNM-37, because the cube is naturally fast.

In this price range, I think that this cube and the X-Man Tornado V2 M 3x3 are the best mid-range flagships. At my last competition, I tried a Gan 11 M Pro and this and I honestly prefer this. It is much more affordable, is very smooth and fast while still maintaining the stability, and if you like the corner-core magnets or Maglev, The Cubicle also provides kits that are compatible with this cube.

I think that this cube will be main for ages to come and I just love this cube. The price isn't crazy and the cube outperforms cubes twice its price. I do not regret my decision buying this.

The service by the cubicle was also great. The cube came quickly (after traveling thousands of miles) and I am happy with the service and cube.

The cube is good and fast out of the box but the magnet adjustment tools are really bad, I used three up just to change one magnet out of 24. I recommend using a small flathead screwdriver.

it feels like the worm 2021, but not with accesories. id say to go for the normal worm 2021

This cube is stable, smooth, and has amazing corner cutting. The plastic tool for changing magnet strength is really cheap. I had to find a tiny flathead screwdriver to change the magnet strengths. Compared to a Gan cube, this is sloooow. If you don't mind it, this is amazing. If you want an uncontrollable fast cube, go for something else.

This is a great cube. I have owned a valk ever sinced it came out and when the gan 11 m pro came i got it and did not like it. When this came out i was a bit sceptical at first but when i got it i was blown away. After setup (weight 5, mystic, dnm-37) this cube instantly became my main. 10/10 would recommend to a friend

The MoYu WR M 2021 Lite is an amazing cube. It is pretty stable but corner cuts quite well. It is very very fast, almost to the point of being uncontrollable, so I switched my spring compression setting to make it 4 clicks to make it more controllable. The magnets were relatively weak, so I put my magnet strength at 1, which is the strongest. The cube turns quite well and fast and stable. It has become my main over my GAN 356 XS and I also really like the feel and performance of it. It's pretty good, and I recommend it. Yay!! :)
