Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Unsure of what to think.

I got this cube after playing with an MGC 4x4 and an MGC 5x5. I liked the 4x4 and the 5x5 though I did end up exchanging the 4x4 for a Moyu Aosu 4x4. Given MGC's reputation and my personal experience, I expected the 6x6 to be a solid cube as well. I got the Angstrom version of this cube because I had lubed my 5x5 and 4x4 manually with Amstrom lubes and I figured it would be a bit of a pain to do so on the 6x6. I bought this cube about a week ago and I am still very unsure of what to think of it. When I first got the Angstrom cube, it felt like it was lubed with glue. After a few solves it seemed to break in a bit but was still over lubed and I had to use a little trick to get some of the lube out before it started to feel decent. I know bigger cubes can take awhile to really break in but I would expect this cube has already done so by now. That said, the 3rd layers on this cube feel very rough and blocky to a point where its a bit uncomfortable to turn the puzzle. The outer layers are still very slow compared to the MGC 5x5 or the MGC 4x4 that I had. The most important issue I have with this cube however is that the 2nd layer seems to sometimes float off when I turn the outer layers. When you are turning quickly in 3x3 stage and the 2nd right layer or 2nd up layer miss-aligns itself it will almost universally lead to a pop if you are going fast. I suspect that this is a fault of weak magnets and I am surprised that it hasn't come up in any of the reviews I've read on this cube.

I may end up returning this cube because the 2nd layers just don't hold on as well as they should. I know this is supposed to be the best 6x6 on the market but I just don't really see it. Is it just that 6x6 hardware is that bad compared to the other cube styles? The gap between the 6x6 and the 5x5 just feels way too larger in terms of quality.

its good but a tad bit too loose

ok so out of the box it was somewhat slow with about 1 solve it went away in the beggining i got frequent pops because i was very inexperienced with big cube hardware so dont expect this cube to not pop just turn right though recently the cube completely exploded on me i luckily got it back together but it hasnt been the same. a quick note before the pops it was very broken in with about 500 solves it felt silcky smooth and the perfect speed i plan to relube it with the lubes that was said to be used in the cube overall i would recommend this to anyone on the market looking for a 6x6 its cheaper than other flagships it corner cuts well and i went from about a 3 minute average on 6 to currently sub 2:45 wich for a slow improver like me is really good i 10/10 recommend this cube though maybe dont smash it out of anger after trying to fix a pop ;)

Decent, but unstable imo

Gotten a few pbs with this cube, but I can't seem to get this cube to not pop or catch often without making it too tight. I fear that all the catches and pops I get may be bending the pieces a little, which makes the cube bad. I've had the same issue with my other MGC 6x6. Maybe the cube isn't for me, but I hope that a more stable 6x6 at this price point comes out in the future.

confused at first

This is my first 6x6 and I don't have much experience with the mechanics of the cube. I was kind of confused when I read other reviews about tightening the cube. For the first day or two I had it pieces were popping out all the time. But then I saw the screws in the center of the cube and thankfully, it came with a screwdriver, and I finally figured out how to tighten it and it worked amazingly.

Happy

The Angstrom is a little tighter than I thought it'd be. I played with some adjustments to the tightness but ended up setting it back to the way it came. Overall I happy with the cube and would order it again.

A bit loose but easy to adjust

When I opened it up it was a bit loose out of the box but fortunately it comes with a screw driver in the bag and after adjusting the screws (~1/4 CL turn on each screw) it massively improved and quickly became one of my favorite 6x6's, overall would recommend.

good

like all mgs you get set up by the cubicle, this will pop unless you tighten it a bit once you tighten it you should be set.
