The new MoYu WeiLong GTS Dual-Adjustment kit is a full hardware set that allows for the installation of the dual-adjustment mechanism in the WeiLong GTS. The kit includes 1 core, 1 nut adjustment wrench, 1 screw adjusting wrench, 7 elastic adjusting nuts, 7 dual-adjustment springs, 7 washers, 7 springs, and 6 center pieces.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Not the best, but pretty good.

Assembling the adjustment kit is not easy, but the main thing is the springs and the screwdriver. The springs are too loose and I would recommend using the original GTS springs. Another thing is the screwdriver. When you use it a lot, it wears down and you can't tighten the rods that lead to the core. The screws also wear down and you cannot do anything to them. I would recommend you use this kit if you have another set of very small screwdrivers that are able to tighten the mini-screws on the GTS.

Love it!

Bought a second GTS for this kit so I could compare them side by side. Cant beat it. Tip: using the adjustment tool is tricky at first, the screw can tighten when you adjust the nut if you dont have the screw driver inserted in the nut adjustment tool. Going to order a second kit soon!

Spring Swap

So, a month ago I made a review saying it was too loose. Well, that was mainly due to the springs provided by the kit. I decided to swap the original GTS springs with the kit's springs and let me tell you, that made a huge and I, mean HUGE difference with the performance of the core. now it isn't as loose and more controllable. I would highly recommend buying but using the original springs with the dual adjustment core.

It does what it advocates to, but is it necessary?

Basically it allows you adjust spring tension and distance between spring cap and the core separately. So you can think of it as an alternative to the Gans GES (and cheaper).

The thing is after I install it I still find my original setting on GTS is optimal. So I spent 5 dollars and more than an hour to have the same cube in the end. Maybe I'll play around with it more later and find a better setting.

I think this is a great innovation and I hope Moyu will make such sets for other cubes. If you really wish you could change the tension on your GTS then sure you can get this. If you're satisfied with your GTS like I am, you'll probably waste a lot of time and money.

Review

I got this and assembled it in my GTS which I got a few weeks ago. Some of the screws had uneven threading, but it was fine installing them. I don't feel too much of a difference, but it has brought much more ways to customize and tension the cube.
