Product Description

The DaYan TengYun M is a smooth, 55 mm 3x3 speed cube that is one of the quietest 3x3’s on the market. It has a unique design and feel that sets it apart from other modern 3x3's.

Out of the box the puzzle is a little scratchy, but after some light breaking in the turning is fantastic. This is definitely the best release from DaYan in recent times.

Comes with:

  • DaYan TengYun M 3x3
  • Two extra sets of springs (standard and strong)
  • Dayan pamphlet

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Nice, but needs stronger magnets

So after ALLOT of setup. I found the perfect spot for this cube. Traxis10k to slow it down a little it's very quiet. Like this is my take on public cube or in car rides cube. After using this a while, All other cubes are loud (because this is just so nice and quiet) I'm trying to take appart pieces top add stronger magnets or double up on magnets or something. But the way the cube was made it makes that so hard to do. Long as u turn light and slow down little you can get the used to the cube and enjoy it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND to beginners!!! To much set up. Out the box was horrible, magnets are so weak there pointless. I can't give this more then 3 stars due to that out the box problems. There are cheaper better options out there.

Disappointed

I purchased the black one not sure if the stickerless would feel any different. but for what its worth.....
There is something about this cube that just feels off/weird. Definitely not my style.

1) its very LIGHT compared to what I am used too (I normally use Gan/Moyu cubes)
2) the turning is insanely smooth and QUIET! (I know my wife is loving it :P / late night cubing)
3) I find the cube incredibly unstable OOTB (I tightened the cube and it has improved the instability a bit but still noticeable while solving) and by doing this it has effected the corning cutting.
4) the magnets are very weak (Which I think if they were stronger would help with stabilizing it)

These are all obviously subject as any review is. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice cube, Just not what I was expecting for all the hype..

Quite the Unique Cube

I've had this cube for over 2 years now, and I have to say that this cube is truly unique from all the others that I have. The cube after setup is quiet, smooth, and a joy to solve on. It also works really well for OH solving due to the smaller size. This cube is currently my main, and I don't think that I'll be switching to anything else for a while.

Great cube but hard to differentiate orange/red

This cube is very quiet and smooth. The slices have very little resistance and is great for LSE, and the magnets are on the weaker side. Compared to the RS3M 2020, there definitely is not that strong notchy-clicky feel from the magnets. The cube was overflowing with lube out of the box, so be careful when unboxing not to get the lube all over the place like I did :). Very impressed, but I had to change out the sticker shades for orange and red since it was causing a lot of bad EO for me.

I ended up moving the red stickers on this cube to the orange side (as the red shades actually match the oranges for a bunch of my cubes), and then I put half bright reds on the red side.

I... I Just Can't Believe My Fingers!

I've had some interesting history with DaYan. In middle school, I had (and still have) a stickerless DaYan 2x2 50mm. It was crunchy and popped a LOT. I then a few years later in high school, I decided to try out a 3x3 of theirs (I think it was a Zanchi? I traded it for a cyclone boys 4x4). It was still made of cheap plastic, and it didn't feel like anything special. I do remember a lot of lock-ups.

But I thought I would try one of their newer models for a spin, and OH MY GOSH, it spins!!! I swear, out of the box, it was like a Gan XS.... I was scared to set this thing up in fear of ruining it with too much DNM-37 or mystic. I settled on only one drop of DNM, and it is an incredibly speedy, yet incredibly controllable cube. my executions feel fast, and I feel special (idk what that's supposed to mean lol). just buy the cube. It's dope. Well done DaYan.

Birthday gift

I got this as a birthday gift from my mom.
OOTB it was uncontrollably smooth and full of lube. I changed the springs to the stronger ones and added weight 5, cleaned all the pieces and added Dayan Silicone lube on the tracks bcz I don't have any premium lube. but i think dignitas and dnm-37 would work well. also this cube isn't as quiet as people describe. it's a little bit quiet and low pitched. My pb is 11.56 and I hope I'd get my first sub-10 with this cube:)

Amazing cube but there's a problem

Out of the box,the cube is soooooo fast, and that's a problem for an aggressive turner like me.
The colour is so bright,i main RS3M2020 before so the colour is darker compared to Tengyun.
the magnet feel so weak...and it's not good.

but.....

Good thing is the cube is so light for weight and also quiet...
At first,I average around 17 second on this cube(soooo badd for me).I just don't like it at first.I set it up and do about 500 solve and it turn out to be so good..I average around 15 sec(Normal Average) and got a new PB 9.66(First Sub-10!)

Conclusion:I think you should buy it if you aren't an aggressive turner or love quiet cube.I would rate this cube 8.5/10 because i think it could be better with some improvement(Maybe V2 is good?I would try it later).Maybe you should buy RS3M2020 instead for this if you are in a low budget....

new to cubing and only had a Rubik's off the shelf budget cube so I treated my self to the premium magnetic bundle of five cubes, didn't look at the brands or prices and played with all five for a couple of weeks and then rated them by personal preference. this was definitely my favourite with the GAN 356 second. a few months on and I realise how much more I have to learn but feel that the Da Yan is helping me learn to turn more precisely and is still my go to cube.
