GuoGuan XingHen M 2x2

Ootb the cube is really slow, but after you do some solves on it it speeds up and has a nice clicky sound and feel, not bad if i do say so myself

This cube is one of the best 2x2 on the market. I have the original xinghen so this is just like an upgrade since I’m too lazy to magnetize my cubes myself. This cube was loose out of the box but after some tensioning and lubicating with lubicle black and some angstrom lubes, the cube felt extremely gummy. I just felt like a Angstrom Weipo that have just been freshly lubricated. If I would rate this, 5 stars because just buy it, it is worth it for just $19.

this is a great 2x2, it has a buttery feel and is great with corner cutting. It can at sometimes feel a little sluggish but that happens after it sets for awhile. Overall this is a great cube to use for 2x2!

This cube has fast, smooth, and sort of sandy turning, and has become my main as of April 2018. However, the quality of the plastic is pretty bad. Some of the screws get plastic in the engraving, which gets very annoying for tensioning it.

This cube was a REAL letdown. This cube comes really tight out of the box, and the corner cutting is minimal. Loosen it by 1/4 of a turn, you say? If so the cube becomes way too unstable and corner twists all the time. You cant turn the thing if you loosen it at all! That is not all, though. The feeling is WAY too scratchy and flash builds up everywhere. The plastic is WAY too hard, and no matter how you try and fix it, it will not work. The only reason this isnt a one star is because of it's speed. This cube is fast!

The GuoGuan Xinghen 2 x 2 is a pretty solid cube. It comes in nice packaging with a tensioning tool and some team MoYu Cards, with extra magnets. OOTB the cube comes pretty dry, even though you can feel the factory lubricant inside. If you loosen it a tad too much the internal edges will move around and make it unusable.The 2 x 2 has some extra plastic stuck to a corner, the one with the latching edges. When solving you can see some(a lot)flash go on the screw and all over the centerpiece and on the edges. For my preference, I think the magnets are too strong for a 2x2, as I can feel them bump a lot when solving. On the pro side of this the quiet sound yet clacky feeling is satisfying. The corner cutting is top notch better than every 2x2 I've tried; line to line normal and as far as it can go until it cuts the other way. The sticker shades are nice, with QiYi shades and no ugly MoYu orange.They will occasionally have a bubble or two. I lubed the core with W5 silicone and pieces with W2 silicone and DNM-37 to speed it up. Overall it is a great 2x2 and I highly recommend for you to add it to your collection.

I will divide this review into 3 parts.

Part 1 : Aesthetics
The box it came in looked nice, and the tensioning tool and cube stand it came in looked and worked great. Along with the GTS2M, easily one of the best packaging I have ever seen. Shades are slightly different from cubes like the Chuwen. Personally I hate the orange on the Chuwen, so it was nice to see a darker blue and a fluorescent orange. Logo looks nice as always. None of the stickers have chipped, peeled, or scratched off so far. 10/10

Part 2 : Stability
At the beginning I noticed a slight scraping on the inside. I took the cube apart, cleaned out all the pieces, and reassembled. The noise was still there. I soon realized the cube was too loose, and the screw head was scraping against the pieces. So, I tightened it. Surprisingly, the corner cutting is still amazing, and the stability increased. I know a lot of people hate the Xinghen because of its deforming and stability issues. These issues all go away by tightening the cube. 10/10

Part 3 : Magnets and Speed
The magnets are weaker than 3x3 magnets, but are sufficient enough to keep the cube nice and controllable. The extreme speed compliments nicely with the magnets. The magnets are barely noticeable when spamming TPS; it just feels as though there is a slight bump. However, if you have tried the original Xinghen, you will know the magnets are playing a huge role. 10/10

Average of 3 sections : 10/10
Conclusion : Main after setup, and will recommend. Rivals the Chuwen M, 249 v2 M, and Wuxia M as the best 2x2 out there.

Note : my setup involved Traxxas 30k and Lubicle Gummy on the core, and Lubicle Silk on the pieces.

This 2x2 pretty much never locks up, which I like a lot. My only complaint is that it is hard to turn fast until you've been using it for a while, but then it's almost perfect. I've done a few thousand solves on it and it's probably my best 2x2 I have.

This cube compliments the GTS2 M well. I found the magnets a little weak for my personal preference, but I just glued some N50's on top of the pre existing magnets and now it's godly! Barely any catching/deforming.
