QiYi Mini Pillowed 2x2 Keychain Cube

This is a nice little cube and good for practising CLL and/or corners-first methods in places you can't take larger cubes. It's about 34mm at it's widest point.

You won't set any speed records on this, despite Mats Valk photo on the box and Qiyi calling this a speed cube. Finger tricks will be very hard as well due to the pillowed nature and the side. In my hands, I get a sensation that the cube will slip out.

It came pre-lubed, and spins very well. I've been through 50+ solves and it's gotten a little more flexible. It's pretty quiet. Corner cutting is very limited to just a few millimeters in either direction. That's OK, as one might have trouble getting more than 1-3 tps anyway.

The clasp is interesting. It's not a key chain by itself, but can be attached to a key chain or backpack zipper or something else. The larger clasp could hold a 2-3 keys, but not much more. The other end of the chain is a smaller clasp such that you can detach from the cube to make solves easier, leaving a little nub on the white/blue/orange corner. Detaching the chain is easiest removed when the clasp is flat against the cube. Doing any other position might cause some plastic loop wear and increase breakage.

Where can you ideally use this cube? Thought of a couple places...
- backpacking trip where space and weight is crucial
- the men's lounge area of women's fitting rooms
- any line you are standing in
- subway or bus

It's a real pocket cube that turns pretty smoothly.

Very smooth and very fast i really like this cube

I've been looking for a good travel/pocket-sized 2x2 cube for a while, and the last one I bought (listed here as the Z Mini 2x2 keychain cube) was very disappointing - there was no amount of adjustment that would make it turn smoothly. This one does turn smoothly after a bit of adjustment, but the curved shape and smooth surface make it a little uncomfortable to grip and turn for long periods of time. Of the 2x2s at this size (~35 mm) this is the best I've found so far, but I'm also going to keep looking.

Comes out of the box really tight and nearly impossible to turn just needs to break in and loosen a lot.

best keychain 2x2, turns VERY well a little tight but you just have to loosen it with a screwdriver
