Product Description

The TomZ Constrained Cube 180 appears to be a normal 3x3, but the sides have been "constrained" so that they can only turn 180 degrees. This makes solving this puzzle an even more fun and interesting challenge.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

A small challenge

This cube was well made and pretty easy to solve. This won't solve exactly like a standard 3x3 but with some setup moves you can use most of the algorithms.

A good introduction to constrained cubes.

Fun challenge, but the turning is really stiff on some sides.

I dont know if I was just unlucky with the cube or every one of them is like that, but the blue and white sides are extremely catchy, locky and slow, not even lube helped. The others turn just fine. As for the challenge, it's the right amount of difficulty for me and it takes some time to figure out. I can overlook the downsides with this cube to enjoy it's solve.

A different take on the 3x3. Fun challenge .

The cube is well made. I was able to figure out everything from on my own except for one algorithm and one bit of strategy. I highly recommend this puzzle. I look forward to getting the other puzzles of this series.

Constrained 180

My son is very happy with it. He isn't interested in getting faster on a 3x3, so liked the new challenge this cube presents.

Great puzzle that adds a nice challenge

From the different constrained versions that I've had and tried, I feel that this version (the 180 one, where all faces turn only 180 degrees) and the Ultimate version offer a balanced level of difficulty, where it's quite a bit more challenging than a regular 3x3, but not so challenging that you'll get too frustrated over it. In contrast, the 270 cube is a bit too easy in my opinion, whereas the 90 cube is the most challenging one. The turning is great and the solve is fun.
