Product Description

The mf8 Elite Skewb is essentially a 4 layered skewb. It turns well right out of the box and features bright sticker shades.
If the normal skewb is getting boring, give this a try for a new challenge!

The stickerless pink version comes with pink opposite red. Instead of the traditional stickerless pink scheme where pink replaces red, on this puzzle, pink replaces orange.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Very cool puzzle

I had been wanting this puzzle for a while, specifically the stickerless version (some people prefer the black plastic cubes with stickers, which I get, but both practically and aesthetically I like this version much better). After mastering the (LanLan) Master Skewb, I thought this would be a good step up in challenge. I haven’t solved this yet, been having trouble following people’s tutorials, but I’m happy to have it and look forward to joining the cubing elite! My main complaint is that the inside slices turn a lot more smoothly than the outside ones, and the tension of the outside turns don’t feel exactly even from side to side. But that’s okay! It hasn’t been bad enough to make me dislike this cube.

Very smooth, well built puzzle.

Turns great right out the box, pre-lubed, and did not pop once after a week of use. Only catches minimally which is impressive for a cube this complex. I love it, it's a new favorite. It's really fun to figure out if you can solve a master skewb.

Stickerless version is too catchy

I like the puzzle concept itself – 7x7 skewb – but the stickerless version is just too catchy to really enjoy the solve. I don’t mind getting frustrated because a puzzle is challenging, but I really don’t like having the mechanism and pieces locking up while I’m in the middle of an algorithm. I’m going to try the black / stickered version and see if it’s any better because I really would like to play with it more.

Great puzzle

This puzzle turns pretty well for the somewhat complex mechanism it has, the outer layers are a bit stiff, inner layers are really good. No alignment issues with the layers for the most part but this definitely isn't something you would want to speed solve. Some of the pieces seem to have somewhat sharp edges on them, not sharp enough to hurt you but enough to make for a slight annoyance after solving for an extended amount of time. The solve experience is super fun and one of my all time favorites to solve, perfect mix of having to figure out new steps for the solving method from the master skewb and having to use elements of the master skewb solve in a new way. I would highly recommend to anyone who can solve a master skewb or rex cube or FTO. The pink on the stickerless looks nice but it does throw me off that orange was replaced with pink instead of red, not worse than having no red, just something to get used to. I would prefer to have a regular stickerless but I'm perfectly happy with the puzzle regardless.

Thank goodness it ain’t the Dayan one

A good, well built puzzle that’s pretty fun to solve. Not a fan of the stickerless pink, but at least there’s an option, right? The caps fall off pretty frequently. The middle layers turn dangerously better that the outer layers which is strange, and I can’t find a way to fix it.

Is okay

Turns fine, but like their other 4/8 axis Master FTO, if you loosen the tension even slightly, it just pops when solving. Unlike it, the pop isn't nearly so catastrophic. Easily repaired mid solve. I wish puzzle makers would take more care in in the rail systems of higher order puzzles. You can't prevent popping entirely, but there's space inside for a second rail, and I'd prefer slightly more friction for less popping.

Surprisingly good

I expected this puzzle to have the same problems as the master FTO mf8 produces, however I was pleasantly surprised that it simply works out of the box despite using the same core mechanism. Similar to how nxn puzzles' 3x3 moves shift the easiest, the skewb moves on this puzzle turn almost as good as a regular non magnetic skewb, with the master skewb moves being tighter. The only complaint I have is the corner pieces tend to slide off. Adding magnets to this puzzle was a bit of a challenge, but it made the puzzle feel a bit less squishy while solving. I would recommend it if you're thinking about it.

Got this as my mystery puzzle

As my titie suggests this was my mystery puzzle. When I saw it I was scared. So far I haven't messed it up. I've turned it about to feel how it works.
But as someone who's just learnt a basic skewb.......
I'm glad I own this, it will be my next big challenge.
