Product Description

The Angstrom Temporus is an artisanally crafted magnetic clock made by Angstrom Research. Based on the LingAo Clock mechanism, the Temporus is outfitted with a host of new parts including a new shatter-resistant face, a modern black/white scheme with strikingly sharp red 12 o’clock dials, Teflon axles, trimmed springs that eliminate catching, and custom-built magnetic pins with magnets housed inside a precision CNC-milled shell. The Angstrom Temporus comes fully lubed by Cubicle Pro Shop. After receipt, gently peel off adhesive on the clear face. Puzzle requires slight break-in.

The first batch of Angstrom Temporus clocks is expected to ship on or around January 10, 2020.

Please note that pre-orders are non-refundable due to the custom nature of the puzzle.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Not a Great Clock

There are a lot of issues with this clock. Notably:
- The plastic is sharp around all edges and holes on the face, meaning it will scrape and poke your fingers as you solve. Many solvers have had a lot of pain, cuts, and blisters from solving it.
- Turning a face with more than 2 pins up requires a tremendous amount of force and typically doesn't allow for ALL5 or ALL6 turn. This is especially noticeable while solving.
- The plastic face "sinks" in and allows you to push on the face, which can feel very unstable.

Overall, for a product that is $75, it has a lot of flaws compared to a good Lingao or Rubik's Clock. A full video review can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhCjEfKJNW0

Needs setup, but is now my main clock.

Out of the box, this clock definitely leaves a lot to be desired. The amount of force needed on turns with multiple up pins is very high. It doesn't seem to turn consistently either. There are some sharp parts from the 3d printing and cuts on the clear surface, but these are easily buffed out.

I was able to open the case fairly easily using a thin screwdriver, and then lubed the inner shell of the clock and loosened the screws on the inner case. After doing this, this clock is easily my main. I don't think it's massively better than a LingAo setup with magnets in terms of performance, but I never got used to the extra bump from magnets on the outer shell, so I personally have a strong preference for the Angstrom due to the surface being flat around the pins.

I'm definitely happy with my purchase and think this is the best clock you can get if set up properly, but I can see how others might be disappointed with this product when cheaper alternatives are available.
