Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great 8x8

I've done about 50 solves total on this cube and my other 8x8s are the old shengshou and two galaxy 8M's (one ball core one normal). I've taken it apart and It's inner 5x5 design helps assembly, It was easier than the aoshi V4 to put back together. I've lubed and tensioned the cube and it currently feels great, it's small size is very comfortable. It turns fast and effortless and feels very smooth with a slight "bumpy" feeling.
My current tensions are not super tight but it doesn't pop and lockups only happen once in ~10 solves. Said lockups are easier to fix generally than the galaxy 8x8's lockups. The only bad lockup I get is one or two pieces of the third layer centers getting shoved behind the edge into another center. I have it tensioned so that it is still loose enough to fix easily but it's tight enough that it doesn't happen often.
the corner cutting is good, some layers can cut over a piece. Reverse cutting is a little poorer than the galaxy but 1/3 piece cuts are still effortless. The layers turn evenly and the magnets aren't too strong or weak. I only feel catches with inaccurate turning and they never happen out of the blue.
I did have one of the magnet capsule come out a little which caused a slight catching issue but I just pushed it back in and it no longer gave me issues. The only other issue with quality is a few middlemost edge caps are slightly crooked but they don't affect solving. Otherwise the pieces feel sturdy and the screws have not striped after playing with the tensions a bit.
Overall this cube is great and better than 6x6's were 4-5 years ago.

So tiny!

This 8x8 is only a couple millimetres bigger than my GAN562 5x5, and much smaller than my YuXin Little Magic 8x8! That makes for great portability, minimal tiring of the hands, and with the magnets, it is an overall joy to solve multiple times in a row. Having big hands means I can not flick any middle layer, so I have to resort to moving the entire side of the cube there and back (meaning: 3r 2r’ … or … 3Rw 2Rw’ … versus just … 3R) - after all, my index finger is over three inner layers wide. Some say this feels tight out of the box but I would call it “compact feeling”. It was a little dry, and a couple drops of lube was plenty (too much caused it to feel gummy, so I wiped off each layer by gliding a paper towel between them and it left the perfect amount). I experimented with loosening each face a quarter turn, but that was an awful choice, so I tightened it back just shy of a quarter turn each and it really is perfect that way. (Too loose and the spreadable gap is wider than a layer, which made it hard for the magnets to orient the cube while solving quickly). I did like this tiny cube enough to want to get the 9x9 and 10x10 as soon as I can find them on sale since they are also obscenely compact!

Great 8x8

Turns almost as well as a good 7x7. Does need to be loosened out of the box though.

BAD

THE MAGENTS WERE VERY STRONG AND HARD TO MOVE AND THE TURNING WAS VERY SLOW IT ALSO BROKE THE NEXT DAY AND I HAD TO CLEAN THE MESS. BUY SOMETHING ELSE.
