Product Description

Steven's WeiLong II Pyraminx is a Standard Weilong with modified tips for speed, a magnetic core for stability, and glued edge magnets and caps for reliability. The setup out of the box focuses strongly on control, but you can add some FZ-Calm for a bit of extra speed!

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Really Good!

When I first got this pyra, it was very gummy. After some break in (about 50-60 solves) the puzzle sped up and turned really well! My only complaint is the tips being a little slow, but what do you expect with a Weilong. Overall, this is a super good pyraminx and will almost definitely be my main over an old plastic Steven's YLM. (In about 150 solves, I got two 1.13s and a 1.27, along with a bunch of sub 2s)

Good cube setup, just takes too long to break in tips and high price

I would recommend anyone who liked the stevens weilong and don't mind spend hours breaking in the tips.

really good but logo peals of without being out of the bag

so when i got the cube it waaaay to slow and i thougt it would get better i didn't but after putting dnm it was realy good the tips are now fully braekt in and i also got a 1,96 sec average after using the cube for a 70 solves so 5 stars the only thing that i am a bit mad is that the logo is peeling of already and it stardet to peel of without being out of the bag

Question because questions don't work for me for some reason so I'm using a review instead

Why is this discontinued and is it ever coming back? Also I did a review because when I use the questions section I never get a response or the emails aren't coming through not sure which

Hi Alexander,

We do answer questions, but we'll look into our email notification system to see if we can figure out what happened. As for the puzzle itself, Steven doesn't have time to make them anymore, so it is very unlikely that they will be back. However, you can use out LBL Designs Upgrade Kit and installation tutorial to make one yourself.

Feels amazing

I'm not a great at Pyraminx, but after scrambling at a couple WCA events, I found the difference between this Pyra and all others irresistable. I couldn't wait for the opportunity to order one. The price is high, so might be worth setting it up yourself, but if you can come up with the money (or get one gifted to you), you won't regret it. BTW, it is sluggish out of the box, but feels amazing after a few dozen solves.

This improved my avg from 6-7 to 4-5
