Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Morphing Monster

OOTB this beautiful Pyraminx is not actually a Pyraminx.
The puzzle itself has a very unique appearance with almost cobweb like deep cuts.
I give the sticker quality a 10 out of 10, great colors and superior adhesion (no Corner lifting or peeling)
The plastic quality is also some of the best, having a good heft and sturdiness even down to the smallest triangles.
Scrambled, this puzzle morphs into a beautiful geometric monstrously intimidating shape.
Pictured
The solution is very intuitive which makes this puzzle fun to scramble and solve...
Pictured
Be aware that this puzzle can jumble...or have pieces move out of their usual path and even seem like they're floating.
Pictured
Over all, the puzzle is very simple to solve by intuition.

Finally, keep this (and all cubes) lubed. If needed to relieve tension loosen screws little by little between lubing and solves, the puzzle will "break-in". Retighten the screws over time,
PS...by loosening the screws you may nullify any warranty
If you loosen it too much, the puzzle may not function as it should and may fall apart. Do so at your own RISK

A satisfying and fun puzzle, but with one major problem.

TLDR: Fun, intuitive, and smooth puzzle with crazy shapeshifting. Beware the popping of piece caps and the bad stickers.

The Star Pyraminx (aka the Curvy Hexagram Pyraminx) jumbles to insanity and has a relatively intuitive solve with few algorithms. There is bandaging but it rarely actually gets in the way (unlike that puppet cube).

The turning is slow and resistive but really smooth and not too catchy, and it comes pre-lubed. As for the stickers, they're of decent quality (though the tiny ones on those petals are prone to corner-lifting/peeling).

Now. The biggest gripe I have with this puzzle. For whatever reason, every piece on the puzzle has a cap. The insane jumbling nature of the puzzle also means that sharp corners or edges of pieces often brush against other pieces.

This naturally means that as you solve the cube, you'll have caps popping off every now and then. Rather frequently, in fact. Especially for those triangular pieces right between the corners and centers. Oh boy. It's extremely frustrating to have to stop mid-algorithm and pick up the cap and press it back onto the piece.

This happens 2 to 4 times per solve. That's quite disappointing. And it poses the huge risk that these caps get lost.

Of course, it's easy to can fix this problem with a little superglue. But still. 2 to 4 times a solve? Erm...

‐---

EDIT: Two weeks in. The cap popping problem is gone. The bigger problem now is peeling stickers. The large stickers are fine but the tiny ones are chipping madly, getting displaced, and even falling off completely. It feels awful feeling those peeling bits of plastic all over when turning the cube. This is my first stickered cube and I am now discouraged from ever buying another one again.

EDIT 2: Superglue fixed the peeling stickers & a Posca marker did well in drawing back the missing ones. Fun DIY there. But still. Stickerless is just better.
