Product Description

The MoYu Redi Cube (Magnetic + Ball-Core) is an innovative take on the classic Redi Cube, featuring a magnetic positioning system and a ball-core mechanism for enhanced stability and smooth turning. As a corner-turning puzzle, the Redi Cube offers a unique solving experience, requiring intuitive moves and creative problem-solving. The addition of magnets ensures a satisfying snap between turns. At the same time, the ball-core structure improves overall alignment and control, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced solvers looking for a fun and engaging challenge.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Questionable Quality

I had an edge piece pop out right after opening it on the first couple of turns. I was able to put it back together (I think). Time will tell how bad this issue is.

Pops

Got this cube for my son and it popped the first day and after replacing the piece it kept popping after a few turns. He was v disappointed and so we got a different rediCube without a ball core and it is more stable.

The question is... why? Overpriced, fragile, pointless, and overpriced.

The Redi Cube, while having much potential to become a WCA event, is still quite niche and rather unpopular among the cubing community. No one really talks about it these days. So whyever Moyu would go out and make one that has a freaking BALL-CORE is just wild to me. Oh, and it also has a pretty advanced adjustment system inside.

Anyway, the way the cube is cut makes finger tricking tricky, so you can't really go that fast. So why bother going for one that's THIS expensive when other models at half the price or even less will suffice? Besides, this doesn't even FEEL expensive. It's *very* light and hollow-sounding. It's one of the cheapest feeling cubes in my collection of non-WCAs. The Yuxin 8-petals cube is still magnetic and WAY cheaper. It's the same cube, just with curvy cuts. That'll probably be enough for you, so I'd go for that one instead.

Oh, one last thing. I got it on sale for just under half the price listed here. That's a little more reasonable. I would NOT recommend buying this cube for 33$.

Edit: Don't twist two corners opposite each other on a side, whether by accident or intentionally. If that happens, an edge WILL pop off from its leaf-shaped internal piece and will literally be near impossible to replace because of the hollow structure of the cube. Trust me, this is a real issue due to how slippery the cube is to handle. This has already happened twice now, and this time I'm not even gonna bother fixing it. Changed from 3* to 2*.

Hey, and if you really want a premium-feeling corner turning cube, I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Super Ivy Cube. It feels at least 3x more premium than this. It is weighty, it turns like a real speedcube, it's 10x more fun, and is half the price. But just don't waste your money on this.

Best For Its Type, but Overpriced

I applied a thin, fast silicone lube, but that made it slow down somehow. Finger flicks were more effortless and satisfying before lubing. I recommend using Lubest XMT 10; it worked much better than the other lube. I put it on the largest travel distance and lightest spring compression, and I've had no popping issues. I find it can be pretty catchy, though. I'm not sure how different the dual-adjustment settings are, but I think I have fewer catches/lock ups on the smallest travel distance (6) and tightest spring compression (9). It is a little difficult to finger trick sledge hammers, but I think it's the easiest on this cube compared to other corner-turning puzzles (e.g., the Dino cube and the YuXin 8 Petals). Lining the corner caps to put them back on is a little difficult. It's best not to remove edge pieces, because you might end up separating the edge from its feet, making it difficult to reattach them. I like how it's lighter and easier to turn than the YuXin 8 Petals. However, it does feel cheap for its price. I think its price is a little high for what you get, so I recommend getting it on sale.

Redi Cube

Nice puzzle, turns smoothly and surely. If I weren't such a slow cuber I might use it for speedsolving.
The only thing I'm not sure of is the x-shaped feature on each side. Strange aesthetic. But then I assume it helps it turn well.
The Cubicle's service was excellent, as has been the case every time I ordered something or asked a question.
