Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Another VIN Banger

Really enjoyed their first release, the 4x4 and their 2x2 was pretty solid but wasn't for me.
-
This 5x5 though, I wanted to say is a very solid 5x5. The UV Coating is nice, and I don't know why, maybe because VIN is still a new company, but I didn't expect the corner cutting to be this nice on this cube.
-
Holding the cube, its actually quite sharp, which makes it blocky in a way. The Yellow side has a darker shade of yellow than other cubes.
-
Magnet strength is quite light but wait, it works for this cube. Somehow the cube feels tad bit weightier than the GAN 562 and the AoChuang v6, but when you move the layers, the pieces somehow feel a bit hollow which makes the turning feel, feel light. The internal texture though, reminds me of the VINcube 2x2, where it's not exactly the same, but VIN seems to really like a sandy internal feel which wasn't so intense on this cube, but it was there. It didn't bother me too much because after lube, it's still a bit sandy but it's really quiet and smooth. It also came with spring noise, but a bit of lube also fixed that.
-
The magnetic core feels like one of those cores on 3x3 where it adds stability instead of auto alignment. I would compare the feeling to like a X-Man Tornado V3/4 magnetic core where you can feel a magnetic click to complete and stabilize the cube, unlike how GAN and MoYu make their cores purposefully so it feels like the cube will complete the turn for you. A contrast would be comparing it to the X-Man Hong 5x5 where the ball core on that cube feels so strong that it takes more effort to start and less effort to finish a turn due to a slight auto aligning and the magnets being so close to the core. The VIN 5x5 is just standard magnetic core to help it feel stable. Hopefully that made sense.
-
If you were concerned with how people compared it with the DaYan NeZha, don't be, its WAY better than the NeZha. Internally, it's definitely not the same cube as the NeZha, and it does not have primary internals if some were wondering. It does feel soft though, which maybe why some people compare it to the NeZha. Comes slightly lubed out of the box, but don't worry about leaking to the surface, it isn't. Solid fast cube, not as fast as AoChuang.

Would I main this cube? Personally no, I think the GAN 562 is just superior, but it doesn't make the VIN a bad cube. For its price, I'm very impressed with the VINCube 5x5 and if you own an MGC or have the cheaper AoChuang versions and just love 5x5 (or can't afford a 562), I'd definitely give this cube a chance. It's pretty unique and feels quite nice!

A pretty nice 5x5!

The UV coating feels nice as always, and the colors contrast pretty well. The corner cutting is pretty good too! To me: this feels like a combination of the Dayan Nezha, and the old AoChuang. my one criticism is that: out of the box it has a sandy feel (which is normal for speed cubes) but after putting in lube it still feels a bit sandy. I'm hoping that this feeling goes away after breaking it in.
