Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

very loud and annoying

glad this is discontinued because it's very loud and annoying and it popped because of a lockup + IT'S SO HARD PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER!! corner cutting is a 2/10 and it's very clacky and sounds dry. it's better than a rubik's brand but not better than other 2x2s.

Although this cube is decently smooth, the Shengshou 2x2 locks up on every solve and is very clunky. It was my first 2x2. It is good for a beginner wanting to learn how to cube since it does turn a lot smoother than a Rubik's brand. But, you'll want to replace it with a better 2x2. I recommend spending an extra dollar or two and buying a better cube.

crap cube

out of the box it didn't feel too bad. after about 25 solves it turned to garbage. the internal pops are the worst!!!!! only buy if you want a short lived cube that dose not corner cut at AAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL! trust me its a bad cube.

Comparable to Eastsheen

Honestly, this cube feels a lot like an Eastsheen 2x2. The corner cutting is around 27 degrees, with barely noticeable reverse cutting. OOTB, the cube was fairly stiff and scratchy, with a very loose setup, which caused tons of pops. After tightening the cube and setting it up with Lubicle Silk, however, this cube became a decent 2x2, although not the best. You're better off getting something like the MF2C if you're looking for a beginner cube.

Not very good

It has almost no corner cutting and it is pretty bad. The only reason why i give it 2 stars is because it is kind of smooth and probably 100 times better that a rubiks brand 22

when I got it popped instantly and is the worst cube evert and corner cuts 5 degrees, Its the worst ShenShou

DON'T BUY

In the beginning the cube was pretty good, but when made the cube a bit tighter the screws were so poor they dug right through the plastic and I couldn't get the screws out and the plastic is pretty bad, don't buy!

way too many pops

it is a terrible cube. it pops about 2-3 times per solve, and i solve in average 2-4 seconds, so about 1 pop per second. please don't buy this cube. IT SUCKS!

Don't trust ShengShou 2x2s

I own a lot of shengshou puzzles and I thought that this cube would have the same buttery shengshou felling. nope. No corner cutting at all- it's also really clunky. It internally popped and It took and hour to rebuild. Its the same scenario with all of the other shengshou 2x2s. wouldn't recommend for anyone, but I highly recommend other shengshou products.

Not the best... Meh

This cube out of the box was very sluggish and crunchy. I think it is a nice beginner cube considering every other cube is a nice upgrade from the Rubik's brand but it is not worth the price considering there are way cheaper, way better 2x2's. I have not lubed it because I didn't think it was worth lubing. It was a nice cube for time being considering it getting me my 6.67 PB but after a few 100 solves, It began to have internal pops very frequently and this cube is very hard to put back together. I think it's time for an upgrade since it grew even more sluggish and gained a papery sound.
