Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Underwhelming

I have heard so many good things about the Valk5 so I was super excited to get this. I've never felt very good about my setup abilities, so I decided to jump for the Angstrom version of the cube. When I first got it, it seemed like the lube was really only in a couple of spots. I could see large patches of white and it seemed like other places were very dry. I figured I just needed to work it in, and so I did a lot of solves on this over the next several weeks. I still noticed that there were patches of lube in some places. Each time I pulled out the cube, I was just disappointed. It feels like I have to give a lot of effort for every turn, and so I can't really use it for too long. It is definitely stable, but it just seems way too slow. This could possibly be fixed, but I paid extra money to get a pre-setup cube, so I was sorely disappointed that it didn't come in a good state.

Overall, I've had the cube for just over a year now, I still try to use it, but after a handful of solves, I always jump back to my Moyu AoChuang GTS M. That cube just moves so much smoother. I know that there are downsides to it, and that most people don't like that cube at all, but I just keep going back to it. Just this week, I was able to test out the new MGC 5x5 and I'm really loving it. I'm planning on getting that next and I'm expecting that it will become my main.

Again, I'm just not sure why my Valk doesn't seem very good in light that it has so many high praises. Maybe it is just the angstrom version, I don't know.

Best 5x5 ever

I have gotten one or two of these after Matty Hiroto Inaba recommended one in comp I got one and an mgc out of the box it needs a lot of break in but after some time it is just as fast and enjoyable as the mgc. (I’m not great at 5x5)

Best 5x5 out there, just a tiny problem with the tensions

The Valk 5 M is the best 5x5 I tried, and the angstrom version really suites the cube in my opinion. It’s really stable and quite fast especially after breaking in, which is great as with bigger cubes you usually tend to sacrifice speed for stability or vice versa. I would give this product 5 starts if it weren’t for the tensions being a tad too loose, not even a quarter turn. I haven’t had a single lockup/pop since tightening the cube 1/8 of a turn on all sides, but before then I would experience occasional lockups when turning inaccurately, but now the cube is perfect.
I would 100% recommend this cube if it’s not out of budget for you

So good.

The turning is so good, the corner cutting is flawless, the feel is phenomenal. Enough said.

Good for slower cubers

This 5x5 is a good 5x5 for cubers who turn slower, however for cubers who like to turn fast like me, it isn't great. This cube comes out of the box on a tight tension, and I have trouble doing last layer algorithms because it is hard to turn the outer layers fast without it going out of control. On one solve where I was doing very good, I tried doing an OLL algorithm and I accidentally turned multiple layers, basically ruining the solve.. However, this might be good for beginners who need work on their finger tricks, because very fast cubes might make a beginner use bad finger tricks sometimes.

Thanks for your review! Due to the nature of our Angstrom lubes, puzzles may be slow out of the box. However, after 50-100 solves, they should speed up quite a bit.

Get this cube rn

Valk 5 is the best cube that I ever got. Its smooth and corner cut great without locking up a lot. My main event before this was 4x4 and I wanted to take it to the next level by solving 5x5s. I did not expect to really get into 5x5 but the second I started to use this cube, it became my main event. I 100% recommend this to people who want to get into 5x5 and who want to get really good down. Over the past few weeks of using this, I break my PBs daily!

Very calming 5x5

I don't know why I say this, it's an all around amazing cube. I get great times and love the magnet strength... But sometimes I go slow for the feel and the pure relaxation that feel gives. The clicks into place are just satisfying.

Pretty Good

Was maybe slightly over lubed because it took quite a while before I could solve without lube getting all over my hands. Could also be a tiny bit loose because I get weird lockups. Otherwise really great job.

Very high quality

This is one of the best 5x5s on the market. If you're not working on a budget and looking for something stable and quick, then I believe this is the cube for you
