MoYu WeiLong V11 3x3 (8-Magnet Ball-Core + UV)

I got it yesterday and it was crazy good. Broke all my records, really really good feeling and a really good cube overall. Highly recommended for any type of turning style.

My son asked for this cube. Going by price alone we assumed it would be high quality. It broke in less than a week. The cheaply made core broke and the pieces went flying. Upon collecting all of the parts we could see where the tiniest part of the clear plastic core had broken causing the cube to explode. We expected more for the price. He is a cuber and collector of cubes, he has cubes he's had for years. Very disappointing.

I can't pretend to understand why MoYu does what they do. Change from 3 piece to capped design. Change from hidden magnets to capped magnets. What I can say is it's a very fast, nice feeling refinement of the already great v10. It has great turning feel and is super light weight. Highly recommend. Can't wait for the cubicle version, Fericore V2 🤘

this cube is just amazing. the v9 and v10 were both good cubes in my opinion but this cube... well it's just amazing. very fast and very light. add some fz calm and it becomes pretty much perfect. i recommend settings 4 for tension and 4 for elasticity. no magnet adjustment is personally ok in my opinion. i think 8 magnet ball core is fine and worth it since it comes with a spring. conclusion is it's a very good cube. i'll be maining it

The speed out of the box was literally already perfect for me, I love the soft feeling of the cube when turning unlike the V9 or V10, and the magnets aren’t obnoxiously strong like the V9. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Coming into this cube, my old main was the TV3. This cube requires a lot of lube to slow down and comes unlubed. I used mystic and fz calm. This cube performs especially well even on tight tensions (8 for the outer ring and 6 on the inner). The cube performs amazingly. One issue is the light magnets which with a heavy turning style can misaligned layers during algorithms, however after 100ish solves, my turning style adapted to the weight and the issue no longer exists. There are some qc and productions issues with the cube: some lint stuck under the uv coating and a center cap does not produce a clicking sound when capping the cube. I think that everyone can main this cube as long as you dont heavily prefer heavy, blocky cubes. Compared to the TV3, the cube is lighter, less tactile and more smooth. The cube is also especially quite with my setup (might be the mystic).

Fantastic overall cube. First new cube since 2018 and it is a huge upgrade. Cube is quite fast but it was quite easy to transition to. I lubed it with weight 5 and QiYi M lube and it feels like a dream!
You’ll definitely want to put some type of lube into it because it was very scratchy out of the box. I am very pleased with this overall and will definitely be my new main moving forward.
I’m also coming from a 93g cube and this cube is SOO light compared to that which I have greatly enjoyed.

It felt and turned like a super weilong v2 but cheaper.

I started cubing back in mid-2017, back when the GAN Air SM and GTS2M were the most popular cubes on the market. Since then, I've only switched mains a few times, so when I do, there's usually a good reason. Either my old cube is a couple of years old and is dying, or I get a new cube that instantly blows me away with the combination of feel and performance. I have to say, the Weilong V11 has surprised me the most out of any new cube I've received.

Out of the box, I was immediately excited about how the cube felt. I had been using the Weilong V9 Picube special edition for a couple of years, and the UV coating of the V11 somehow feels more premium and polished. They've likely perfected their UV coating in recent releases, but it's important to note it feels near perfect in this version. The turning out of the box also felt incredible. The feeling reminds me of a mix of qualities in recent Moyu releases or from other brands. The best way I can describe the feeling is smooth and crispy, stable, extremely fast, and good performance qualities similar to the Tornado line and modern GAN cubes with obvious similarities to the V10/V9. The 8-magnet ballcore version with springs is still exceptionally fast, so I believe the 20-magnet with maglev wouldn't be most people's choice.

I set the cube up with a thin layer of weight 5 on the pieces, a couple drops of FZ calm, and a couple drops of XMT 10. This setup is near perfect for me, but if you like other setups, I believe lube reacts really well in this cube generally.

Overall, this cube combines everything I've been looking for in a main, both in feeling and performance. It's pretty rare to find this combination, especially with the saturation of recent releases in the market, but the V11 is quickly becoming one of my favorite cubes. I'm not positive I'll switch from the V9 yet (mainly because I still love that cube and have for years), but it's very likely to overthrow it both at home and in competition. For reference, I average around mid-9, so intermediate to advanced solvers will probably like it as well.

I mained the Weilong v10 fir about a year before I got the v11 and it was well worth it. I heard that the 20 magnet ball core version was very fast and uncontrollable so I got the 8 magnet cube and it was still extremely fast out of the box but some set up made it perfect for me.
