Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Meh puzzle. Clunky execution

I like my Platonic solids shapes but I wish I had found a video or photo to show the structure. The mechanism is really chunky and hard to align to get the small corners to rotate.

No one is speed solving this beast but it is pretty bad.

Big, Attractive

The turning is rough and bumpy, but the solve is interesting. It starts off super easy, like doing the first layer of a Rubiks cube, then gets progressively harder as you approach the finish. At the end you will have just 2 pieces next to each other that have to swap position with each other. Doing this and maintaining the order of the rest of the puzzle is a convoluted trick that may trouble a beginner. Stay calm and don't panic! You might amaze yourself.

Basic Icosohedron = need improvement

This puzzle has the same mechanism as (Evgeniy Icosahedron Dogix) and (Evgeniy Icosahedron Carousel). This is the simplest / easy one, good for beginners. However it has problems!

Although the stickers are good quality and nice variety, the overall mechanism is flawed. It will often lock when twisting unless correctly aligned (aka no corner-cutting). Pieces almost never pop, but sadly even if correctly aligned, the corner facets (5 triangles per corner block) the corner facets will often separate into two pieces which will jam the entire puzzle! You might try popping them out, gluing the half-facets together, and then rebuilding the puzzle.

Corner facet disintegration aside, the puzzle is very stiff. It comes unlubricated. Perhaps some lube and tweaking of axis-tension would help? Out of the box it is very tedious to play...

In theory the solve is beginner level, but the poor mechanics make it a challenge for an experienced user.

It is not totally bad, but for the price it is over-sized and not user-friendly. The color scheme is okay, and makes for a nice collectible.

Beautiful

A lil clunky to turn but in a satisfying way if that makes sense, and it's tolerable to solve either way. The main pros are the novelty of the shape and the sheer mass of it, which while subjective are enough for me to call it beyond worth it. This is one hefty son of a gun and you can't go wrong with icosahedra. Also the color scheme is pretty effective considering how hard finding 20 distinct colors can be.

Nice design, easy solve, bad implementation

Seems a bit pricey for what you get.
The solution is easy for anyone who has done 4x4 Pyraminx or a few other twisty puzzles. Even a 4x4 rubiks has a similar move when you match up edge wings into an edge.
That would be interesting enough for me, but the problem is that it is so difficult to turn. Maybe some lube would help, but maybe not. It is very difficult to get everything lined up well enough to make the turns, and so it is always jammed. It is not like some other puzzles, hard to get it started turning, but then easier as you turn. It is a trial for every degree of turn.
If the solution was more interesting, it might be worth taking apart to see if things could be lubed and smoothed out to make it work better. For me it doesn’t seem worth the effort.
