Product Description

The MFJS MeiLong Skew Mixup puzzles are skewb mechanisms with a little extra. Each version has small pieces on the centers that can swap after a partial turn.

The MFJS MeiLong Skewb Mixup III has pieces divided into thirds on each center. These extra pieces allow for jumbling moves which can change the shape of the puzzle.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Nice cube

I like this cube a lot. I didn't buy the mixup I or II because my mother says that I need to buy some hard cubes for my brain. O was able to solve it once and that took me 3 hours or so. If you want a challenge I really recommend this cube. It popped once but that was easy fixable.

More difficult than it looks.

The skewb mixup 3 is surprisingly difficult to solve. I still haven't solved the last few center pieces after a few hours of working at it. It's a great challenge for intermediate or expert cubers, but I would reccomend the much easier skewb mixup 1 for beginner solvers.

The turning of the skewb mixup 3 is relatively smooth, but it has some minor catching and popping problems not present in the skewb mixup 1. However, since it's a non-WCA puzzle, it doesn't significantly impact the solving experience.

Good cube!

Fun to solve but not recommended for speed solving... Might need to turn slower

the first two versions were great,

but this one can fall apart very quickly, FRUSTRATING. tried to tension it but it was already the tightest possible, also apparently unrelated to the fact those three pieces just slide out like they're too small or something. when those pop the fly out and jump around it takes forever to find and the rest of the puzzle collapses like dominos. when you re assemble it's insane to try to remember which parts were where, also the centers might be off as well, not a fun mess at all... 8

Fun, but Challenging Edge parity

This puzzle was fun. I orderd this and the Maple Leaf skewb just a few days after figuring out how to solve the actual skewb. I was able to solve the ML Skewb easier than this one because on this puzzle, I solved everything except the last edge where the pieces are extended and not in order. These puzzles are definitely really weird getting used to at first. I'm trying not to cheat on this puzzle.😉

Best in the series IMO

Why?
1. It looks AWESOME when scrambled. TOO awesome. The petals get the most shapeshifted in this one and it's the most colorful of the three.
2. The longer it takes to solve, the more satisfaction you get when you finally complete it. It takes long enough such that you can relax in the park with this, but not so long that you won't be able to finish it in one sitting.
3. You can use the skills you've learned from the mixup 2 to solve this. You can use the exact same strategy you used in the mixup 2's last few petals on this one. It's really satisfying when you're stuck but work it out with your own noggin.

Also, I had no popping or catching issues and think this turns just as well as any of the other mixup skewbs. I can speedsolve this to a slight extent, but am not beating it up like with my normal skewb, of course. Highly recommend this puzzle.

Do not buy

This is a cool puzzle that provides a great challenge. However, the main challenge is just trying to solve it before it falls apart. Do not get this puzzle.
