The DaYan TengYun M is a smooth, 55 mm 3x3 speed cube that is one of the quietest 3x3’s on the market. It has a unique design and feel that sets it apart from other modern 3x3's.
Out of the box the puzzle is a little scratchy, but after some light breaking in the turning is fantastic. This is definitely the best release from DaYan in recent times.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

DaYan TengYun M 3x3
DaYan TengYun M 3x3
I have had this cube for about a year now and even though also owning an XS its still my favorite. Very quiet and smooth. Id recommend adding cubicle silk to this cube as it makes it even smoother and quieter.
ok so I'm behind on the party but this is my first magnetic cube. I was always hesitant about the idea but now that I got this one I love it because it doesn't have strong magnets. it actually is my new main over a gts 2 and what I have to say is the cube is really soft and quiet. those who don't want strong magnets and aren't aggressive turners I strongly suggest to check out this cube.
Wow. Just wow. I've done 2000 solves on this and it is absolutely incredible. It has the best corner cutting easily, it's smooth, it's fast, and it has a very unique feel that I've never felt before. My one complaint is that it is ridiculously fast but the magnets are on the weaker end. If it had stronger magnets, it would most likely be my main. Also, this cube is very different so although it's incredible for me, it might not be for everyone. It's a risk
this cube is really amazing. The feel is so different from all my other cubes. It is really light and soft, but it has a sort of cushiness. It is almost a papery feel, it is so light.
I love it
I lubed It with some Traxxas 30k on the pieces, because it is so uncontrollable. Then I used some Silk and dnm-37. The cube was just amazing after that.
Also, the cube is super quiet, so great if you like cubing in public.
I purchased the black one not sure if the stickerless would feel any different. but for what its worth.....
There is something about this cube that just feels off/weird. Definitely not my style.
1) its very LIGHT compared to what I am used too (I normally use Gan/Moyu cubes)
2) the turning is insanely smooth and QUIET! (I know my wife is loving it :P / late night cubing)
3) I find the cube incredibly unstable OOTB (I tightened the cube and it has improved the instability a bit but still noticeable while solving) and by doing this it has effected the corning cutting.
4) the magnets are very weak (Which I think if they were stronger would help with stabilizing it)
These are all obviously subject as any review is. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice cube, Just not what I was expecting for all the hype..
Before I actually ordered this I watched some reviews and pretty much everyone were saying it wasn't good OOTB, but when mine actually arrived it was really good, just a tiny bit loose for me. After tensioning and setting up though, I'd say this is a must get 3x3. It's also extremely crispy and quiet, so really good for cubing in class or elsewhere. Corner cutting is also really good. About magnets, I don't see a problem with them but a little stronger magnets would probably be nice. Overall definitely worth the price
So the guys a Cubicle hooked me up with a white plastic version of this cube with classic stickers (except for white; I had them do black there instead.) and the angstrom setup. It was perfectly tensioned and lubricated for me from the get go. The feel is amazing and the slight noise reduction is a bonus. I have yet to adjust it at all. Corner cutting is phenomenal and it’s perfect for cubers who favor slower, more efficient turning style. I’ve hit several sub 15 times and a sub 11 since I got the cube. My TPS isn’t even all that fantastic either.
The magnets are a little weaker but if you have pretty good stability already, it just refines it and gets the job done.
The tengyun is one of my favorite 3x3s out there after a couple Gan cubes. The soft, yet crunchy feel is so unique and satisfying. The sound is quiet and very low pitch. The corner cutting is one of the best and it is very fast. I only have two (minor) complaints. First, the defaults are pretty garbage. It will take some setup. Second, the magnets. The magnets are very weak for the sheer speed of the puzzle. If this had stronger magnets then it would instantly be my main over the XS. Buy this cube!
