The GAN356 MagLev represents a new twist on a familiar favorite. Joining the classic 356 series of GAN 3x3s, this new version incorporates the innovation and technology of 2023. This one has repelling magnets in place of a spring, offering not only a fresh approach but also enhanced performance. Featuring 6 tension adjustments, 6 center travel adjustments, corner/core magnetization, and the classic honeycomb pattern on its internals, this version has a lot of features. This is a more affordable GAN 3x3 with most of the features you would get in a flagship. This version is UV-coated which aids with grip and gives the puzzle a glossy finish.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

The gan356 maglev is a decently fast cube with noticeable auto alignment and very reasonable magnet strengths. According to gancube this release is intended to bring back some of the characteristics of the older gancube releases such as the gan356 X from 2018, while having some of the new technologies such as maglev and corner to core magnets, I have to say they did a great job with that. The gan356 maglev uses the gan356 X piece construction making the turns feel slightly heavier which I enjoyed. Inside the center piece, you can find the exact same maglev and dual adjustment system as on the gan13 maglev, the addition of maglev gives this cube a clean and fast feel, it would also eliminate core friction and spring noises. For the edge and corner pieces, it uses the classic magnet capsules design but this time is blue, this ensures that the magnets can be placed as accurate as possible and reduces the distance between two magnets making the magnets feel stronger without having to use thicker magnets which could help with weight reduction. The gan356 Maglev does not have adjustable magnets like on the gan13 and gan14, but there still has corner to core magnets, it's small radius magnet placement enables for large angle auto alignment even without edge repelling magnets.
Overall, the gan356 Maglev is a great cube at a reasonable price, if you're looking for a gan cube with maglev and core magnets but don't want to spend that much for flagships like the gan14, this would be the perfect choice for you.
Do you miss the feel of the old 356 cubes, yet you want the tech of newer cubes? This cube is it! It has the same feel of the 356 line (almost SM like), but with maglev and corner/core magnets that’ll make your solves much more enjoyable. The looser adjustment settings are unusable, but that’s not too big of a deal.

Fast, stable, and little to no setup required. There are no grip issues, as there were on recent X man UV coated cubes. However, after using this cube for about a month, the white center cap broke, as can be seen in the image below. Other than that, this cube is definitely worth the price.
