Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

not enough glue

the amount of glue that they give you to glue in the magnets is only 1.5ml and 1.5 ml converted to drops is only 30 since 1 ml is 20 drops
so if some one were to want to glue in all 48 magnets needed to magnetize a cube they would need at least 2.5ml of glue

conclusion: this kit does not come with enough glue to glue in all 48 of the magnets needed so I suggest they up the size of the glue from 1.5ml to 2.5ml

A Perfect Magnet Kit

(I got this strong magnet kit from the old thecubicle.us site so this may not show as a verified purchase. But I assure you I got it from there. I just only got around to reviewing it now.)
I got two MF3RS2s to compare if I like a 3x3 with magnets or without. I think I prefer one with magnets because it increases the feel. It also has a interesting effect of quieting the cube which makes it "seem" softer (sound has a lot to do with feel. I know this from golf as I have tried many clubs and balls. But that's a whole different review, ha ha!) and adds a bit of weight which has a way of making it feel more premium. However, I don't think they'll significantly increase performance on a 3x3 as I think it's largely personal preference. Magnets seem most effective on larger order cubes (4x4 and up) where it's trickier to keep the layers aligned turn to turn due to the friction pulling other layers with them. A 3x3 doesn't have such an issue.

So why am I giving it 5 stars? Because it's a perfect kit for what it does: Magnetizes a 3x3 and even gives you a few logo stickers if you'd like to change them (I did on the magnetized one to set it apart from the non-magnetic one and it looks nice). But take your time with it to make sure you get the polarity and positioning of the magnets set properly. Each cube's design is a bit different so you will have to do some planning to get them to have the desired effect too. For instance: If you put them on too much of a slope, they'll be too far apart to feel as a little extra spacing mages a big difference with magnets. So make sure you are putting them at the spots where they'll be closest to each other (disassembling each and every piece helps greatly to visualize it) and at places where you can get the pieces back together as you have to take into account the slots pieces fit together in and the like. Once you do, THEN apply the glue around the magnet and let it do it's neat bubble-up-dry. There should be plenty for all the magnets if you use it that way because you aren't unnecessarily drowning the magnets in glue.

Overall - Excellent

Used to magnetize the Gan RS. Gave the otherwise very uncontrollable and easy to deform cube a much more controllable and stable feel. The magnets are quite noticeable, so there is no need for much of the slower lubes. This was my first magnetization, so the process was a bit slow, but the glue drying rate is very forgiving for a beginner.

PSA about the glue

the glue here is very good because it is removable even after dried, I messed up the polarity of the magnets, and with a sharp object you can force to remove the glue, which I really liked, If I did it with superlgue otherwise I would have messed up permanently. In other hand theres not much to say about the magnets, they are just neodimium magnets. The 2 logos are beautiful also.

Nice modification

I bought a D-Fantix cube with carbon fiber stickers from Amazon. It was my first speed cube. It was fast but really loose. I would often get stuck between positions. I bought this kit and watched the video. I went carefully and changed up the gluing order. Luckily, everything worked out. I had just enough glue and did not accidentally flip any magnets. I love my cube now.

Pretty good

The magnets were really good when I got them but the only problem was that I messed up the polarization but otherwise the magnet set would have been really good if I had done it correctly. One problem I encountered when magnetizing my cube was that the magnets broke really easily so as long as you make sure not to drop your magnets you should be fine.

Bad Glue

Everything in the kit was there and worked well, except the glue. It completely solidified and is basically unusable. Other people bought this and it worked fine for them so I'm not sure what happened.

worst glue ever! DO NOT BUY

The glue takes too long to dry and then when it does dry it makes a marshmallow of superglue. It ruined my cube! DO NOT BUY! I tried magnetizing a Gan 356 RS and I can't put on the piece caps now! I spent $30 on what is now a piece of plastic and metal! It broke my cube and The Cubicle should use different glue! Horrible!
