Frequently Asked Questions:
Why does the DIY Kit cost more than the Assembled version?
The DIY Kit contains many small and loose parts, so it requires additional labor compared to Assembled cubes, including screening them for missing, incorrect, or broken parts and providing after-sale service. Unfortunately, due to the extra labor and costs associated with maintaining a high level of quality in our DIY Kits, we must charge a little more for the DIY Kits than for the Assembled cubes.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

TRASH

It pops like crazy and has a dry scratchy feel, I tensioned it well and then it all fell apart... IT IS TRASH!

This cube is excellent. This cube has a fast and bumpy feel. Once broken in well, the bumpy feel gets replaced by a smooth feel. After assembling the core, all the sides had spring noise. I flipped all the springs and lubed the core with Weight 3, which did it's job very well. Also, during the assembly of the cube, I noticed that the screws were quite long. This made tensioning require a bit more effort, but it didn't bother me that much. After full assembly of the cube, first impressions had impressed me. Pops and corner twists were minimal, though they happened after loosening the tensions. Overall, a great cube with reasonable speed, price and quality.

highly overrated

Decided to order the Zhanchi after reading and watching at least 50 different reviews on it. I ordered the blue DIY kit. While I find the look of the cube quite nice, because the blue looks pretty good with the stickers, that's all I can really say for it. The first issue I came across was that two of the screws would not go into the core straight. After it was assembled, no matter how much I adjusted the tension it would not corner cut more than maybe 20 degrees and would pop and lock constantly. With or without the torpedoes. As for how it feels, no amount of lube would help. It constantly felt scratchy and at no point could I get it to turn smooth. Over all, it just felt really clanky and cheaply designed. I'm very disappointed with the purchase and wouldn't recommend it.

Awesomness

This is the best cube from Dayan! Recommend to cubers who are just getting into speed Cubing.

popping!!!!!

a very good cube for a 30-45 second solver. with no lube the turning is very minimal and sorta scratchy. But when i put my homemade lube on the springs, screws, washers, and pieces the turning was smooth. The popping happens often but i do like my tensions loose. I got mine in yellow so wham the edge and corners aren't pressed together you can see the cracks. But I'm sure on there black kits it shouldn't look to bad. This cube impressed my friend on the corner cutting. the size is a little to big for my hands but doesn't effect me to much:D

Horrible!

I am very disappointed with Dayan, I expected a lot from them but it is just horrible. It was a complete waste of time and money. I set it up correctly, following a youtube tutorial, and it was still bad. It barely competes with a dollar store cube. Once again, I am very disappointed with a company with as high respect as Dayan. DO NOT BUY

I was not disipointed when I got this. at first this cube could only
corner cut 35 but in time can do 45. Great cube for all speeds and has thick walls, so it will last along time. If you like the crispy feel than this is the cube for you. its cripy but I can still turn a face with one finger. I recomend using silicone lube weight 1,this is in the lube section, for this cube. And this is just a cube that all colecters and speed cubers a like have to own :)

This is a great cube. But there were problems while ordering it. When this arrived in the mail it sadly came without an edge piece and shengshou mirror block stickers. Thankfully The Cubicle gladly sent me a replacement set of stickers and an replacement edge piece. Another problem arose was when I assembled the cube the center caps started poppin' like crazy. So I had to super glue them down. I would give it 5 stars but missing pieces and popping center caps made me give 4 stars.

After assembling + lubing my Zhanchi, it was sub-par (lots of lockups, really cheap feeling, corner cutting was...half decent...), definitely a lot worse than I expected it to be. It took a while for me to break it in but after a while it became a lot better. It corner cuts 45 pretty easily, inner cutting is great and lockups are a lot less common. One problem I have with this cube is that it turns very loosely and is hard for me to control and only is that fixed when the tensions are very tight (corner cutting gets worse). I have solved mine 1000+ times and I still have this problem, not too impacting though. from what I've heard, the aolong / aolong V2 is better (I don't have one), but nevertheless this is a great cube, my main and definitely better than the rubik's brand speedcube.....4.5/5

This is my current main and a great cube. I'll admit that it's not the best but the clacky feel works well for my 15 second averages.
