Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Terrible cube

This was my first cube after a Rubik's cube, and honestly this is almost as bad as a Rubik's cube. I'm going to break this review up into 5 parts, worth 10 points each. Turning, corner cutting/lock ups, color scheme/stickerless shades, design flaws(pops)/tensioning, and overall performance.

Turning:

It's pretty bad. It turns as if someone put water in it and didn't wipe it out properly. It's also terribly sluggish. With a hard flick, you can turn a side about 110 degrees, and that's a hard flick. Algs don't perform well on this cube especially PLL.

2/10

Corner Cutting/Lock Ups:

Even worse than turning. The normal corner cutting is about 12 degrees for smooth cuts (yes I used a protractor) and about 20 degrees for rough cuts. Reverse corner cutting is virtually non-existent at about 6 degrees for both smooth and rough cuts, and after that it just locks up. Speaking of lock ups, there are way too many on this cube when performing algs and simple turns.

1/10

Color Scheme/Stickerless Shades:

This part is probably the best part about the cube. The color scheme is normal with white opposite yellow and so on, but the shades are a different story. The white and yellow shades are pretty good, and the blue and green are decent although the green could be a a little brighter, but the red and the orange are the worst. I get them mixed up a lot because they almost look the same in low light. Also, they have these fake tiles on them to make it look stickered, but that was a big flaw for me.

7/10

Design Flaws:

This uses the same mechanism as the original Rubik's cube, and its erally easy to put back together, but it still pops like crazy. If you don't have it on the tightest tension possible, it will pop all the time. Tensioning is also alright, and corner cutting gets better with loose tensions, but like I said before, it will pop all the time.

3/10

Overall Performance:

It's so bad I'm not going to write anything here.

1/10

Grand Total: 14/50

Conclusion: Whatever you do, don't get this cube. There are WAY better cubes out there for the same price and even cheaper prices, such as the QiYi Thunderclap which is the same price of $9, but worlds apart from this one in performance. I currently use a Gans 356 v2 and it is godly compared to this. The gans is quite expensive, so like I said if youre looking for something under 10 bucks, go for the thunderclap.

No good

Disclaimer: I'm very new to speedcubing!
But I've tried my friends ZanChi and thought it had a wonderful feel to it. This one, not so much! Tried to lube it and tension it, might be that I'm doing a horrible job at it, but it feels.... just bad!

WORST CUBE EVER.

Doesn't reverse corner cut, corner cuts 14 degrees. Pops all the time, the corners are uneven, one part of a corner fell out. Absolute garbage. A bit better with Vaseline, catches every time though, pops 1 in 10 solves. Rubik's Brand is better than this. Wouldn't pay again. Get a Guanlong. It's better.

I got this cube from amazon.

I know this cube is discontinued, yet I still have to make this review. Straight out of the box it was very loud, yet fast to me. Later in my speedcubing life I tried my friend's Fangshi and I compared it and mine was TERRIBLE!So I bought The Aolong v2 and that is so much better than this cube. But later (Today) I lubed it with Vasoline. It then started turning really fast and could cornercut better than before. So if you want this cube to be better, take an edge out on each side and put some Vasoline in there.

Absolutely terrible, DO NOT BUY...

After my first solve it was TERRIBLE, every solve after it got worse, it's got weird fake stickers on the faces, it's slow, it pops, I mean, I have a Rubik's brand cube I mod that I sanded, tensioned and lubed and this is still worse, anyways, of you've got this money, buy a DaYan ZhanChi...

Horrible

This cube is honestly not any better than a Rubik's brand cube. It is made of very cheap plastic and pops about 2 times a solve. there is no anti-pop mechanism and sometimes the edges just fall out. I would give this a 0/5 if i could.

Review

Bad cube. Purchased the whole set a while back, and this thing just stinks. Worse than the 5x5. It pops, is vey blocky, and has weird tile/sticker/plastic things shaped like stickers on the plastic. The mechanism is similar to the Guhong, so why does it turn so bad? Overall, it was a waste of money.

meh cube

This is the first reasonable cube that i ever used. I got it three years ago and all had before that was a rubik's brand. It's corner cutting is zero to none although in the three years i've had it, it has literally never popped during a solve. But my suggestion, get a guanlong. In the few days i've had my guanlong my times have improved and it was only 4 $.
