The MoFang JiaoShi MF4C is a new MoYu sub-branded 4x4 speed cube in the Cubing Classroom series. The Cubing Classroom series offers many premium design features at a low price point, and it is most ideal for beginning cubers. The MF4C is available in Black or White plastic.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Not worth it in 2020

So, I bought this puzzle in 2019 and while it was okay out of the box, after one year it's just hard to use. Turning is slow, it's pretty hard to set up, it pops frequently and is hard to assemble, and one of the corners actually broke off. If 4x4 budget cubes were all like this by now, I could say that you can get it if you're a 4x4 beginner, but now that hardware has improved, I cannot recommend it. Honestly, if you want a good economy 4x4, you can just buy the YLM, Qiyi MS, or even the Meilong 4x4, which retails for one dollar less and is made by the same company.

Good for Beginners

The turning feels very crunchy and slow ootb. The tensions are tight but after a dozen or so break in solves the turning became much more fluid and less blocky, the corner cutting is pretty bad though, and the turning is pretty slow, so its hard to speedsolve on. But, the 7$ price is definitely worth it if your trying to get into 4x4.

MF4C Review

The MF4C, is not the best 4x4 out there. It's a great budget cube. It locks up (1-10 Chance every move). It locks up very often, requiring tensioning, and often pops. I don't recommend this to be your main, but its great when you are just learning to solve it.

What you pay for

While I wouldn't say this is terrible, it's very stiff even after a break in period of a week or so. I'm somewhat new to cubing, so I didn't alter anything about the cube, e.g lubricant, except for loosening the factory tensions a minor point. That said, I would still consider it ideal for the price, especially for beginners.

Turning was extremely dry and popped a lot, exploded twice after 4 hours of getting the puzzle.

Good for beginners

Out of the box it was a little bit sandy but as i started moving it around it got better. The outer layers turn VERY good. I do have some lock ups occur but overall the cube very good. I would defenitly recommend this cube to beginers.

Good For A Begginer

This was my first 4x4 and I loved it. Out of the box it could use setup but after using the lubes from the premium lube sampler and tensioning it was great

Just mod a shengshou instead.

Out of the box, this cube was very dry and sandy with very tight tensions. After breaking in and lubing with dnm and tensioning a bit. It becme a bit better. It is definatley a great beginner 4x4. But a shengshou is probably better due to the fact that it's much faster. But if your willing to mod and lube the shengshou it may even be able to compete with an aosu. Now the inner-layers. They're awful. They are heavy and slow. I mean, sure. They don't lock like the shengshou does. But with modding the shengshou will not lock at all. Corner cuting on this cube is awful. It only does berely does 1 peice forward and has absolutley no reverse. just buy a shengshou.
