Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

This cube is really smooth and fast but locks up a TON, and you can reduce these lockups by keeping the tensions really tight so it doesn't pop every time you try to do more than a third of a piece reverse corner cutting. It doesn't pop often, but if it does, it's really tough to get the piece back in. I don't recommend this cube at all, and is has literally nothing in common with the 4x4 except its light weight and its name. Also keep the tensions so that the gap between the center and middle edge is less than 1/2 mm or you will get bad lockups. Just get the Qiyi Qizheng instead, it's twice as good for one extra dollar. If you really want a decent cube, look at the YLM 5x5 Magnetic, it's my main over this by a mile.
I don’t feel like writing a full review, so I’ll keep this short. This 5x5 is pretty bad. The turning is really fast and smooth, but that’s not the problem. The problem is that the cube is so flimsy it always locks up. During a solve, you’ll get at least 5 lockups, if not more.
I got this cube and lubed it with some weight two or weight four (I forgot which one). The cube doesn't lock up that badly, but the lack of magnets means that you have to carefully align a layer before you turn another. I usually get around 35 on 3x3 (I use a Valk 3M), so I did a 3x3 scramble on this cube and I got a 1m 15s time. I would spend a little bit more and get a magnetic Yuxin Little Magic 5x5.
Its locks up a LOT and its not fast even after I used lube and you have yo keep it tight if you loosen it just a little it pops. The corner cutting is so bad it barely even does 15° so I would say not to spend ur money on this.
this thing is amazing! its great for beggening 5x5 speedsolvers!
my last review was so wronge! this is amazing fast and smooth , would recommend for beggining speed cubers!
This budget 5x5 was pretty cheap. I've seen reviews online and I just decided it should be good. OOTB it seems slightly dry and stiff. After setup, the cube was pretty good. Inner and outer layers on this cube are really smooth, but they feel slightly sluggish. It also has the occasional lockups & pops, which are prevented by tightening the cube. This is my first 5x5 as I'm only starting out, but I think this is a very good 5x5 to start out with. And the cheap price just makes everything better! Overall, I totally recommend this cube for beginners.
this 5x5 is a good budget cube if your going to do casual cubing, but if your going to speed cube it locks up a bunch out of the box its a bit sandy but all in all its a pretty good cube for only 8 dollars/ 5 dollars on sale
