Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

OOTB it is ok but there are some problems the slice magnets are too weak so I had to add extra and the U and D are kinda weak so I added more magnets. But the corner cutting is mediocre so I sanded for hours to make the edges round. I also moded the core because I can. Then I lubed it with silk, dnm, and weight five. and it is awsome so guuuuuuuuuuud turns like butter so smooth.
I had read reviews that the magnets were incredibly weak, and i doubted them. I should have listened. There is no magnetic strength whatsoever, and it feels very sand and scratchy. Other than the fact that the "magnetic version" is a ripoff, its a fairly good puzzle for casual solving, but not competitive solving. Just get the non-magnetic one if you want to learn how to solve the square-1 like I did.
This is a good sq1
I pre ordered this a while ago but I’ve still used it for a while. Turning OOTB was pretty smooth and but very dry. Felt hollow but the speed really made up for it. Though i noticed that I was very noisy and clacky. I found out later that every corner had one magnet rattling around the corner piece. That’s probably just a rare issue, but it didn’t alter the turning. I strongly recommend it to people starting out square 1, but for people like me who average sub 15 and want to get faster, either set it up really well or buy a pro shop volt v2m. Regardless this cube is pretty good, especially for it’s really cheap price.
This is perfect, it is way better than the volt. I would recommend lubing with silk and dnm-37. I finally got a sub-20 average with this cube!
It is really smooth and fast OOTB and the magnets are noticable when turning, but not during a solve. After getting this cube my square 1 times have improved drastically the day i got it and now I am more consistent with my times. The only issue it that the cornercutting is not the best but still amazing for the price
If you average less than 30 seconds on squan then get the Volt or the Volt V2. But, as a beginner puzzle, I think that it's great!
For the price it is one of the best on the market
I got this cube for my first square one, hoping that I would like it, and what can I say? It didn't disappoint! It is a really good cube, the best for its price. However, I have 2 complaints. The first is that the magnets are really weak, especially on the slice. The main problem, however, is that the top and bottom layers were waaaaay too difficult to turn compared to the slice. I could not adjust the tensions, but still, that is a very minor problem. I would recommend it if you're just getting into square 1.
Mine came super tight. Like SUPER tight. I could barely turn it. Do not reccomend. Even for the price.
