The MoYu HuaMeng YS3M is the latest flagship 3x3 release from the famous cube company. This puzzle features amazing corner cutting, adjustable tensions/compressions, a dragon scale pattern to reduce sticking, and is designed/endorsed by the 3x3 world record single holder YuSheng Du.

This is the ball core + maglev version that has corner/core magnetization, 25 degrees of magnetic turn correction (auto-homing ability), and represents the pinnacle of MoYu 3x3 design.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

My first ever cube

Hello there, this is my first ever cube I bought and I dknt even regret it. Would recommend as a first cube for any beginners or for any casual cube solver like me, who don't care about time solving :)

Smooth and quiet

If you are a smooth accurate turner, you will love this, it’s now one of my quieter cubes. Not quite good enough to replace my main the Gan13 but it’s a good backup.

I wish I could put a 4.3 or something, my only gripe is that there is no friction between my fingers and the cube.

Great cube for certain turning styles

This cube has been my main for a while now, and while out of the box it's really dry, a few drops of DNM and Silk gave it a really nice feel! I recommend this cube for people that enjoy blocky feels to cubes. If you don't like that as much, I would recommend the Tornado V3 Flagship.

This cube is, in my opinion, the best on the market. It's fast, smooth, controllable, and has top-notch corner cutting. It feels buttery and blocky simultaneously, but the tactile feel doesn't affect its performance, which is probably the best out there. I've already set a PB with this cube. It was a .17 second drop, but still. The only thing I'm really bummed about is the lack of adjustable magnets, but I think they come at a pretty great strength anyway. I would recommend a spring compression at the 3rd setting from the bottom and lubing it with Weight 5 and Mystic.

This cube does have one fatal flaw, and that is the problem with all MoYu cubes: It gets dirty incredibly fast. The dragon scale pattern is good for distributing lube and making the cube feel good, but it's also good at another thing: trapping dirt. This doesn't affect the performance, but you'll have to clean it pretty frequently, which can get annoying.

Sometimes I get some odd lock ups but other that that a great cube except for the lack of magnets but very good for its price point.

Just to clarify, this cube has magnets, but they are not adjustable.

I got this cube about two weeks ago and I love it! I got a sub-10 average with it and a sub-9 single which is really good for me.

My YS3M ballcore maglev review

This is HANDS DOWN the BEST 3x3 of 2023. Plenty smooth, fast, stable, and controllable. One problem that is TINY that mightn’t be a problem for you is that this cube cube is VERY sandy out of the box. This might be a feel you like but it’s not my favourite. To wrap it up I recommend this to anyone who likes a sandy and scratchy feel or has lube to smooth it out, I used dignatas, mystic, weight 5, and DNM 37 in mine so if you don’t know what lubes to use I think this combo is nice. It’s also the yoo cube lubes if you like that cube, final score 4/5.
