Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

I think this cube is a very good cube. it turns better than an average gear cube although the stickers peel off very quickly.
it is very heavy although I do not mind the weight.
I love all things industrial... Buildings, Art, MUSIC and now GEAR Cubes.
This is my second Gear cube. The first was the 2x2. (The one with the glow-in-the-dark stickers) [see also the reviews on that puzzle to find/order this unique uzzle]
This 3x3 version, in black, is stunning. Be careful of finger pinching.
OOTB the puzzle moves fine.
To familiarize myself, and understanding how the Gear 2x2 works, I decided to count how many turns it takes to return to the original solved state. It's more than a regular 3x3...
You're looking at about 8-14 R turns strange.
It's not a quiet puzzle so it's one that you shouldn't bring with you to any place that requires silence.
This is one of my top 5 puzzles that look great and are fun to scramble and solve.
i have not lubed this cube, done anything to it, because it already turns better than i had expected! the stickers have a weird gritty texture to them but that does not bother me. what DOES bother me however is that one of my blue stickers is placed very bad, like half the sticker is off the puzzle. but its only one sticker and that fault probably only happened to me
By far the best gear cube I've tried. The grippy stickers are odd but feel nice. Needed a bit of breaking in but after a couple solves felt really nice. Relatively fast and good for the price. 10/10.
This is my first gear cube, and I like it a lot. It started off a bit hard to turn, but after only about 10 solves I can already notice it breaking in, feels good now. Lock ups happen occasionally, but not often enough to be annoying. For the price, it feels very heavy, and sturdy. I feel like I got my moneys worth. The grippy stickers are nice too, but they're ever so slightly misaligned on the edge gears. Might bother some people a little bit, but I don't even think about it when I'm playing with it.
This is my first gear cube so i have nothing to compare it to. OOTB i was kind of hard to turn. I added some DNM 37 and broke it in for a day. Now its easier to turn and an enjoyable solving expience. Sticker shades are nice and they seem to have some sort of grip thing on them so thats new and cool. Easy to solve without a tutoral and i highly recommend. The only down side to this cube is that its kind of loud, but that is expected.
A bit slow but t I love the grippy stickers
