Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Terrible puzzle. Needs magnets.

It came way too lose. Okay lets tighten it. Cool, now it wont scramble itself by merely picking it up. Oops now it wont corner cut. Add lube? Okay now its back to scrambling itself and I haven't even touched it yet. This thing is a nightmare. This puzzle is in dire need of magnets or some type of locking mechanism like the pyraminx. The layers have to be perfectly aligned to turn and when its loose its nearly impossible. I find myself re scrambling the puzzle because one of the layers decided to turn randomly during an algorithm. I recommend saving your frustration and wait for a magnetic kilominx to hit the market.

A dry puzzle with a ton of potential

This Moyu kilominx is something quite special if you are willing to put in the time and effort. Upon disassembling the puzzle, I found that every single piece was completely bone dry. Why MoFang JiaoShi (Moyu) decided to do this, I'll never know. My next complaint comes from the screw types. The heads of these screws are slightly larger than a normal moyu puzzle. If you use one of the Moyu screw drivers to try to loosen them then you might end up stripping the screws (They also happen to be very tight and hard to move). Luckily, I had a proper screw driver and I was able to get this thing apart without much problem. And from there is actually where the final complaint comes in for this puzzle; its tensions are all very tight out of the box which leads to numerous catches. All of these issues can be overcome with a little elbow grease. I took the time to loosen all of the screws a few turns and I made sure that they were all about the same upon inspection. I also added some Weight 5 to the screws and the springs to make sure that the core was properly lubed. I then was able to reassemble the puzzle and add a bit of mystic, silk and DMN lube on a couple of the pieces.

After break in I was pretty impressed. This Kilominx is as good as it can be without magnets, that is to say that it will still catch a little bit if the layers are misaligned but other then that small complaint, the puzzle turns as good as any mid tier megaminx. If you have this puzzle or are looking for a good kilominx and are not afraid to get your hands a little dirty, then I highly recommend you take a shot at setting one up for yourself. I do hope one day that Moyu decides to make a magnetic variant and until then I may just try to add magnets to this thing myself.

why do people say this is bad??

Honestly, I have no idea why people consider this one of the worse dodecahedrons. It’s exactly what I want: black internals, smooth turning (with some Mystic, of course), and a stickerless finish. There aren’t any center caps (unlike the QiYi one) and it’s an overall 9/10. At a 3.5 star average, this deserves some more recognition for what it is rather than what it isn’t.

Very hard to keep stable

This kilominx is slippery and will move by itself in ways you don't want it to. I highly recommend not buying this

Not Impressed.

I'm not sure what I expected from a Cubing Classroom puzzle as cheap as this but... I was expecting at least something usable.

OOTB, this puzzle was very scratchy and dry, and I could barely turn it. I wish I was exaggerating the catching I experienced, but it was at every turn.

After putting some Silk in it and loosening the tensions, the puzzle became at least a bit usable. The catching, however, is a very bad problem. Algorithms can't even be done without having to realign every face and pop the edges back into place.

The only reason that this isn't a 1-star review is because the ridges are nice, and the colors are rather vibrant and functional. And when the puzzle DOES turn, it is rather fast and smooth feeling, though I'm unsure whether or not this is from the Silk, the puzzle, or both.

Magnetizing it MIGHT be an option, and that might eliminate the catching, but from the looks of the insides of the pieces, there isn't much room for magnets.

My suggestion: Go for the ShengShou Kilominx. The MeiLong Kibiminx is most likely a bust.

Its ok...

I love it, and it is a great addition to my collection, but it catches WAY too much. Magnets would have made this puzzle perfect!
