Maru Core Magnetic DIY Kit for TengYun V1
This Maru Core Magnetic DIY Kit will convert your TengYun V1 to a core magnetic version! This kit adds magnets to the base of your corners as well as around the core. This gives the puzzle a more pronounced magnetic feel with added stability.
You will need superglue for installation.

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.
Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

I had high hopes for this kit, and I bought a Tengyun v1 just to install it on. I am not even sure what went wrong. For reference I have installed Cuber's Home core magnetic kits on the RS3M and WRM, as well as a Maru core magnetic kit on the Yulong V2. I installed these without incident, though I have noticed some slight catching on Yulong V2 but I didn't use that cube enough to really notice if it was catching at all before the mod.
This install was completely different. On the other 3 kits I have installed, how the corner magnet piece was supposed to be oriented was pretty obvious, if not impossible to incorrectly install. On this kit I must have installed them improperly. After I assembled the cube, the corners would just out and not sit flush with the rest of the cube. If you have ever seen a video where someone intentionally reversed the polarity of edge magnets, it kind of looked like that, but less extreme. If your wondering, I didn't glue the magnets in upside down. With just the core and centers, the corners would still hold themselves in place like a Gan or other core magnetized cube would.
Ultimately, I ended up removing all of the corner magnets which was an ordeal and while the cube is back to functional, but with all the crap I had to do to the corner stalks to get the magnets off, it will never have that nice soft Dayan turn feel ever again. Not to mention the added weight of the core magnets that are glued in for no reason. I hope whoever reads this can at least learn from my mistakes or someone could make an instructional video on how to correctly install this.
