Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

This cube is worth the price, but it is kind of small, and takes some getting used to. The magnet strength is really nice, and I got my first sub-2 minute solve on this. After lubing, I think it's very good. I think it can take on the Little Magic 5x5 M, and the Qiyi MS 5x5, and the YJ YuChuang v2 M. This cube is everything that the original Meilong 5x5 wasn't. Very good cube.
THE PROBLEM: The springs are very sharp and bite away at the center pieces. A few sides of the cube suddenly started making loud grinding noises, and that's because the spring's sharp end is scraping the plastic off the internals (see image below).
THE SOLUTION: rub the sharp ends of each spring on sandpaper (I used 220 grit) until the ends are rounded off and don't feel sharp anymore. It worked great for me.
Performance: cube is too tight out of the box and hard to turn. When loosened, the cube speeds up drastically and starts to corner cut well. It's stable, lightweight and has a reasonable magnet strength. I like it a lot.
Size: at 60mm, this 5x5 is about the same size as many 4x4 cubes, which is crazy. The compact size feels comfortable, but the outer layers are slim and sometimes hard to grip.
Overall, great value for $12. However, you must be willing to modify the springs to stop the cube from destroying itself internally. If not, look elsewhere (QiYi MS 5x5 may be a good option, but I've never tried it)
So this cube isnt that good, but it has size in its favor, this cube is REALLY tight ootb and has to be loosened, Its super comfortable to hold while solving, but the turning isnt as good as the size, to be fair though, i havent set it up yet, so it can improve, if your looking for a first 5x5 then this would be decent, but i would say get this if u want a small 5x5 and are willing to do some work with it, overall not that bad of a cube
