Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Better than the MGC

I got the angstrom one because the stock version was out of stock. After just a couple hours, this cube had broken in so well. Totally recommend.

A big step up

This cube is a huge step up from my Angstrom MGC. I was using that puzzle for almost a year and a half, and towards the end of that time that cube really started to die on me. I couldn’t fins a good setup even after wiping out the cube numerous times and using almost every premium lube TheCubicle offers. After doing horribly at a recent competition, I figured it was time for a new one.

Out of the box, the outermost layers were fast and the inners were super slow (as expected) but the feeling was one that I could tell I already preferred over the MGC. There was also a good amount of sandyness, which along with the snow feeling left me wondering if I should add a drop or two or DNM into the puzzle. However, after doing only 5 or so solves, the cube reached amazing speeds and the sandy feel already went away.

One thing that differs the puzzle from the MGC is the stability. The MGC is known for being the fastest 6x6, but also the least stable. Compared to my MGC, this cube offers higher levels of speed, but is exponentially more stable. Since receiving the puzzle I’ve done about 150 solves, and I’ve had 3-4 lockups and only one pop. This is something I had to work around with the MGC - I knew the stability (or lack thereof) of the puzzle was holding me back, and it left me waiting for a better 6x6 to come along. The medium-strength magnets combined with the mechanism of the Angstrom Aoshi WRM mean I can turn as fast as I want and not have to worry about lockups - something most people haven’t been able to say about 6x6 hardware pretty much ever.

As someone with smaller hands, the reduced size of the puzzle compared to the MGC means I can do longer sessions and not feel fatigued. In addition, the Angstrom setup adds a smooth feeling with even more speed, meaning I can have fun doing 6x6 for the first time in a while.

The only nitpick I have with the puzzle is the shades. The green is significantly darker than that of the MGC, and while I haven’t been a huge fan of the shade choices MoYu has made recently, it doesn’t make enough of a difference to impact my solves in a large way.

The Angstrom Aoshi WRM has taken the spot for the best 6x6 on the market by a landslide. It’s the first major 6x6 release in years, and one that I think many solvers will enjoy. I still think the MGC is a good puzzle, and the MGC may still be the choice for those on a tighter budget, but if you can manage it, I highly recommend this puzzle. Since getting it, I’ve gotten my first sub-2 single and mean, and could not be happier with my purchase.
