The Angstrom MGC 4x4 is lubed with a combination of Angstrom Gravitas, Angstrom Dignitas, and DNM-37 on the pieces. This creates an incredibly quick and clean feel, free from the drag ordinary silicone lubricants can produce. 

Original puzzle made by YJ. It features an Angstrom Research logo on the red side.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Really good base

At fist, the outer layers felt dry and the inner ones almost impossible to turn. I added a bit of Dignitas to the outer layers and a bit of DNM to the inner ones. That, along with the break-in time, has made this cube pretty great. I don't think it would've gotten to this sweet spot without the tweaks I made, though.

Great cube

the size is a little too big for me so it’s weird to adjust at first but the cube is amazing and the inner layers turn smoothly after break in. it’s sandy and a little scratchy out of the box but becomes smoother with little break in. definitely recommend unless the size is a problem

I like the cube. It does not pop, and it is fast, one problem is it is a bit tight, but it i loosen it up it might pop while turning so i just like it how it is

Great cube

This is a really good cube, it is difficult to break in but I have broken most of my pb’s on it. The cube is a bit sluggish after break in so I would just add a couple drops of dnm-37

Good cube, maybe get the standard.

The Mgc 4x4 itself is a great cube, but something is up with the Angstrom. This cube has an amazing feel and breaks in fast. But despite changing everything possible, it somehow still pops. And when I say pops I mean pops. It has happened countless times and only increased in severity until it flat-out exploded. This may just be a defect but nothing I do helps it, and only my angstrom (out of my 3 versions of the cube: standard, mystic, angstrom) has done this. When it doesn't pop it is amazing and got my first sub-1 average the same day the cube arrived! (Also the bag is sick, and matches my mat)

Popping exists but not as bad as people say.

Have solved this cube around 200-300 times, give or take. It has popped once, but I was using it as a 2x2 when it happened, and not being super careful. Overall, I'm not worried about that being an issue. Really great 4x4, especially for the price.

Slow out of the box, but speeds up fast

Others have mentioned the same. It was much slower than the MGC 4x4 I was currently using, but thought it would be a good idea to have two so I had one as a backup at competitions. Received this a few days before my last comp, so did not use it since it was not fully broken in, but it's great now, a couple weeks later.
