The ShengShou 5x5 Mini "Ling Long" is a miniature 5x5 cube that draws its design from some of ShengShou's other successful 5x5s. It measures just 57mm across, making it the same size as a typical 3x3 and the smallest 5x5 available on the market today.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

ShengShou 5x5 Mini (57mm)
My grandson loved the gift but hated the fact that as soon as he took it out of the wrapper and tried to solve several stickers fell off. We reviewed the return policy and felt it too cumbersome to go through hoops to return item. Wouldn't recommend.
This is my first 5x5. It turns great, the stickers are nice, really nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend, especially for the awesome low price. :)
This cube was my first main and I got my first 5 minute solve on it. This cube has the occasional lockup and popped a piece twice. The size makes it easier for cubers with smaller hands to solve. I put some lube in it and it turned smoother. It still had lockups, but it made the cube have a better feel. Overall, it is a great first 5x5.
I am aware that this puzzle is quite outdated. I decided to get his puzzle just for collective purposes. It's quite good in my opinion. Sure it can pop but i know i'm not going to have this as my main. It's not everyday that one comes across a 5x5 the size of a 57mm 3x3. I recommend for people who are into collecting or for beginners with tiny hands.
I love the size of this little cube. 1mm less would be perfect to match a regular 3x3. It turns pretty rough out of the box, but could probably be sweetened up with break-in lube and tension. I usually use my cubes for a few days before lubing and all that in order to break them in. This one just pops constantly with very little effort. I tensioned it a bit tighter in order to help, but it is still a big problem. I don’t recommend this, even though the size is so good, unless you just want it in your collection and not to use.
Out of the box a good cube, was a little greasy but still preformed good, and the grease wore off eventually. I haven't broken it in yet I just got it but still a great cube. Hasn't popped yet on me. I didn't have to adjust the tensions as it was fast enough for me. A lot of people would most likely tighten it if their beginning but still I love it! I would recommend it to people that are beginning and need a a good budget cube/ one handed cube (if your into that) but I would recommend this cube!
This cube works well enough to satisfy a casual solve and is super convenient. however no amount of tension adjustments will do much good, mine will cut 20° corners mostly. locks will explode very easily.
This 5x5 is hardly anything special apart from it's size. It's small, which makes it easy to travel with. It's speed is... okay, and so is the othe aspects of this cube. 5x5 lock ups occur frequently for me when doing wide turns, though this may be due to rough turning. But when these lock ups occur, this puzzle can just explode/pop on you. The cube doesn't corner twist, thank fully. The cheaper price makes this a good investment if you like 5x5 or want to learn it on the move. Other than that, good luck maining this. I'd recommend using Lubicle Silk on the pieces to speed it up. Lube certainly helps this cube.
UPDATE: I recently went to fully set up the cube and found one of the screws were stripped. Now I have a disassembled 5x5 that I won't be able to put back together properly.
My current main. When I tensioned it exploded.
