Product Description

The Lefun 2x2 Time Machine is a stickerless 2x2 shape mod featuring a dial on each side. The puzzle turns like a 2x2, and dials can be turned independently and jumbled up to make the puzzle even harder to solve.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great Concept, Horrible Quality

I have both the plain and numbered versions and while I wouldn’t think there would be a quality difference since they’re the same brand and same puzzle (to an extent), there is a quality difference. Out of the box the numbered version is definitely scratchy and it catches every now and again, but this plain version is absolutely terrible. I’ve been a ‘cuber’ for nearly 7 years and this is one of the worst quality puzzles I’ve ever owned. It’s scratchy, catches, refuses to turn most of the time, pieces pop, lube does nothing for it, the pieces have molding defects, there is flash everywhere, some pieces stick out further than others, etc. I love the concept behind this puzzle and I was looking forward to getting it, but I’m highly disappointed. Do yourself a favor and just get the numbered version. Again, I don’t know why it makes a difference since they’re the same brand, but as for my experience, for some reason the numbered version turns better. The plain version is a 2x2 and then the rest is intuition. The numbered version is a 2x2, partial intuition, and a couple simple new algorithms. The concept of a puzzle is to challenge you. The plain version will not do that and I didn’t expect it to challenge me. It’s just less time consuming than the numbered version. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

Fun puzzle, slightly annoying turning

The 2x2 Time Machine is great because of it's "pick up and play" quality. It's very fun, not too challenging, but not too easy that it only takes ten seconds. The only issue with the puzzle is that the turning can be a bit annoying at times if the circles aren't aligned. After several plays, you definitely get a feel for how to address this and deal with it when solving, but it is present.

Difficulty: 2/10. All you need to know is how to solve a 2x2
Playability: 6.5/10. As long as you align the pieces, turning is fine, and it can even corner cut, but it will sometimes get stuck.
Quality: 8/10

PROS: Very fun and easy to play with; not too fast of a solve, but not too difficult.
CONS: The turning can catch, which can be frustrating, but it's easily solved with a little alignment. The little turning pieces feel a lot lighter than the rest of the cube, which can sometimes feel a little weird to play with. Overall, a good puzzle, but shouldn't be speed solved, and rather just solved as a fun puzzle.

Very fragile

I bought this for my 12 year old brother who is obsessed with rubiks cubes. He still was able to use this one. But he was CONSTANTLY having to keeping putting it back together because it kept falling apart

Decent Non-WCA Puzzle

This puzzle catches a but and can be hard to align layers because of the wheels on the outside. Overall it's a good value and fun to solve. I did find it to be a bit easy to solve intuitively; I think the version with the numbers would be a more interesting solve. Fun NON-WCA puzzle to have in my collection.

Great solve!!

It does feel fragile but this is not a speed solve kind of puzzle so you need to go slow. Not too many lock ups as long as you line them up correctly. The quality could be better but no real complaints. Good job!!!

Pretty good

I have both Smaz origional and this, for price different stick to this, number version is more fun in my opinion though, without numbers solving the dials is a bit dull

Fun To Solve

Like all puzzles, when I first tried it it seemed very challenging but after a few minutes I was started to get it. It's a great puzzle, and very fun to solve. If it is loose it can pop easily, but you'll learn how to keep that from happening. It's a non WCA puzzle so you won't be doing it fast anyways.

Great

Always wanted the time machine but $100 was not worth it. I'm so glad this came out. Would love for it to be black because a bump time machine mod would be great.
