Our Promise to You
All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.
Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

This cube is great and really enjoyable to turn. My other sq1 is the volt which is a mission to do U moves on. This one you can turn with much lighter force. The lube setup is nice too - feels good man. Dinged the last star because one of the little pieces catches slightly sometimes.
The cube is really good and I’m really happy a ordered the cube but one issue is that the screw head is broken and I can’t change how tight it is
Thanks for your review, and I am sorry to hear about the broken screw! If you send us an email with your order number and some pictures of the issue, we can work with you to find a solution.
I love this cube, but mine had a few bad things, one of the equator pieces had been deformed so some plastic came out, making it really scratchy. i used a file i had to smooth it, now it's all good. and a magnet was loose, i just pushed it back in with a screwdriver. It's a great cube, just not mine ootb
I love the cube. It’s fast and smooth and helps my solves flow. However, I have heard that the MGC has a tendency to break and think mine might be broken. Also, the bottom layer is much faster than the top layer for some reason. It’s almost to the point where I can do a D3 if I flick the bottom fast enough. Is this intentional with the MGC?
Thanks for your review! We have noticed speed inconsistencies with MGC Square-1s as well, and our best guess is that it has something to do with gravity pulling the bottom layer away from the puzzle and pushing the top layer into it, causing a difference in friction. I have come to appreciate this difference in my own MGC because I usually turn the top with more force than the bottom anyway, but if it causes problems in your solves, adding a bit of extra Gravitas to the bottom should help.
The yj mgc sq1 angstrom maglev is very fast, has a nice feel, and great corner cutting. The only drawback is that the plastic is frosted. It will eventually go away though. Definitely a new main.
Turns really smooth but the layers are too fast and hard to slow down
Angstrom MGC Square-1 (Fully Magnetic)
I received the Angstrom MGC Square 1 about a month ago.
OOTB, the slice felt very slow, and the U and D layers were dry. After about 20 solves or so, the slice became faster and much smoother. I also put some Weight 5 and and Dnm-37 into the U and D layers so it isn't as dry, but still have a balanced feel.
I used to main the Volt, but the MGC has replaced it. The Volt has a smooth slice, but slow U and D layers (in my opinion), whereas the MGC had faster U and D layers. I also like the texture of the MGC Square 1 more.
This Square 1 is a very smooth and fast puzzle. I definitely recommend it for any advanced Square 1 solver!
