Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Better than I expected. I like this cube. It is so fun to solve as well. It did pop one time, but other than that, I think it is a good cube for my collection and for solving!
This cube is very slow and it pops 5-6 times every solve. I would love to see QiYi or MoYu make a (good) version of this puzzle.
The square 2 is super fun to solve since it can keep you occupied for awhile. However, it does pop quite a bit due to the fact that there is 12 pieces on each side. If you know how to solve a square 1, then get this puzzle, it is really fun to solve!
This cube looks amazing and if that's what you want for sure get it, but it you are looking to solve this puzzle its ganna take some time and lube. The 180 turns are flawless every once in a while a cap will fall of but not never offer, how ever the 90 degree turns on the side are completely horrible you can't turn them without feeling like you will break it ! They are horrible and really hard to turn. But if you want to do a lot of modding or just for a show item I would get this. But it's not for solving.
Nice, feels solid. Needed a bit of break in. Biggest problems were cap flying off the bottom layer on relatively slow twists. I might have to do the paper fix on that. The real surprise was that it pops corners. On a half-turn, before the slice, the slightest misalignment caused the corners to fly five feet away during the slice. I'm going to look inside the mechanism a bit more. May there's some tweaking I can do to prevent it. The tension was good; this is simply a design issue with the corner piece rails. Might need heavy modding...still not sure.
If you go really, really slow with it, it won't pop a corner. The caps will still fall off, but that easily fixable.
I give it a 3. Calvin's are usually good, and this is worth the effort to salvage.
