Product Description

The CubeStyle Penrose 3x3 is a 3-colored, stickerless cube in which various edges of the cube have been rounded off to form a repeating pattern across the cube. The presence of only 3 colors and multiple identical-looking pieces introduces additional parities, which makes solving the Penrose 3x3 a unique challenge.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Penrose 3x3

It was good for like a week then 1 red center cap popped off. Tried to super glue it but it still broke

it is 100% a working cube

It is a lil small boy that turns and functions very nicely especially for the money you spending on it. Fun solve with cool non unique piece parity situations

Great Shape Mod

Thoroughly am enjoying this shape mod. It helps you really consider look ahead. Just be certain of orientations and you will be good to go. Works well out of the box.

Awesome shapemod!

One of my top favorite cubes, I waited quite some time for it to be finally be in stock again!
It's the only stickerless variant I've seen and it looks great!
It makes for a truly unique solve experience, while being a 3x3 there are edges that are rotationally equivalent (can be inserted either way) and other edges exist 3 times. Makes for a fun pseudo parity, but once you understand it, it's pretty straight forward.

Good cube, albeit dirty OOTB

While not speed cube quality, the cube turns smoothly, even doing most of the corner cutting you'd expect from a normal cube, although some turns will give a little catching. From a solving experience standpoint, it's not terribly different from a normal 3x3x3. This cube has parity, but it is relatively easy to work out, especially if you have dealt with parity arising from shapeshift mods before. It's definitely a great cube for its price.

My cube unfortunately was pretty dirty (stained) on one side (see picture). Rubbing alcohol and persistence has cleaned it up well, but there's probably some room for improvement on the manufacturing/storage/transport side of things.

Penrose

My 11-year-old son is obsessed with rubik's and this one is his favorite. He loves the way it feels and says it has a unique way to solve one layer at a time. He said he would give it five stars.

better then predicted.

its honestly not that bad. mine came out of the package with like a line of dirt on one side but it rubbed off soon. the turning is not that bad actually. no magnets or anything but this was my first penrose cube and i really liked it. it has several parodies which aren't my favorite thing but whatever. probably worth the money if you like non wca cubes. I like it more then i dislike it for sure.

Better Than I Thought It Would Be

Based on other reviews, I thought this one might be low quality. But I was pleasantly surprised. Mine is very smooth right out of the box. It's well worth the low price. A fun solve. This one gave me more trouble than I thought it would. I was thinking this would only take slightly more time than a standard 3x3x3 but the fact that it's only three colors and some quirky shapes mess with my mind some.

Very tight out of the box

Make sure you have a screw driver, and lube would be nice as well. This cube came out of the box very tight, and was hard to turn. After adjusting the tension, it was much better, and can corner cut a little as well.

The solve is fun, and a bit tricky, but very similar to other cube mods that have multiple correct edge inserts.
