The DaYan Tangram Cube is a new and exotic-looking puzzle from DaYan. It features a repeating pattern of cuts across the 6 faces of the cube that are rotations of the same pattern.
The Black and White versions are pre-stickered right out of the box. The transparent purple version is unstickered with 2 sets of stickers on the side, and it is limited edition.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

I like the shape of the cube and the difficulty level. However, it's not very practical. I've never cared about whether a cube has stickers or not so I brought a stickered version. That turned out to be a mistake as the stickers started peeling off after a while (which I thought was weird as it has never happened before). Also, the pieces will sometimes pop out when I try to turn it too fast.
I'd purchased this a while back and have enjoyed the solve. Or near solve...
The transparent purple cube's plastic version certainly needed lube, after stickering it of course.
So far, I've been able to nearly solve this puzzle.
Sure I can look up a solution guide but for now I'm enjoying the challenge.
This has proven to be a little more complex than I'd expected. Be ready for a higher level solve, this is not your simple 3x3.
To my fellow cube collectors, this looks great scrambled, so colorful with it's geometric shapes. It reminds me of the 60's or Germany's Bauhaus designs.
Have fun with this artistic cube.
I REALLY like the Tangram Cube! It looks very very cool when it is mixed up, & is a fun solve. It is actually a cubic shape-mod of the five-sided Pentahedron puzzle, but with rotational orientation specificity for the centers of the faces making it a little bit more challenging than the very easy Pentahedron- plus it looks very cool. It does not shape-shift (it stays cubic), 2 of the the "true" faces turn in increments of 120 degrees, while the 3 remaining "true" face flip 180 degrees. All-in-all, I definitely recommend this puzzle, and I still solve it just for fun, even though it is not very challenging once you get the concept. Love the colors. On a side note- the puzzle itself is at least 57mm, so I can't fit it in my MoFangGe cube cases. Still like it. A must have for collectors, imo.
I received this cube in puzzlcrate November 2016. The turning is bumpy, and sometimes it locks up because of all of the layers. I have not scrambled it yet, but look forward to after a solution is released.
