Product Description

The DaYan TengYun M is a smooth, 55 mm 3x3 speed cube that is one of the quietest 3x3’s on the market. It has a unique design and feel that sets it apart from other modern 3x3's.

Out of the box the puzzle is a little scratchy, but after some light breaking in the turning is fantastic. This is definitely the best release from DaYan in recent times.

Comes with:

  • DaYan TengYun M 3x3
  • Two extra sets of springs (standard and strong)
  • Dayan pamphlet

Custom Stickerless Black Tengyun Review

The black plastic is well applied, and the cube it self is very great. Thanks for putting a lot of effort into your orders!

Super quite and light magenets.

This cube is great it's so quite that I can solve during a movie without my family complaining. It is however pretty hard to control being very fast, but I have not messed with the settings at all and I'm sure there's something I can do to improve that. Also the M slice is the best I have ever tried or seen it's so buttery smooth on all turns but the M slice is truly amazing. I highly recommend this cube for roux users especially but it works very well with other methods as well (like full ZZ lol).

my favorite 3x3 currently.

if you like smooth turning this cube is definitely for you!
it can also have surprisingly high speed depending on how its setup,
the one issue is slightly more pops than modern speed-cubes.

Great for OH!

Don't think it is a bad cube because it doesn't work for normal solves. This is an OH cube. It's got weak magnets and the corner cutting isn't the greatest, but this is because it is used for OH. Its extremely light and flexible, and the weak magnets are nessasary for OH. I went from averaging 1:10 seconds to 45 seconds over the weekend with this.

Amazing cube but there's a problem

Out of the box,the cube is soooooo fast, and that's a problem for an aggressive turner like me.
The colour is so bright,i main RS3M2020 before so the colour is darker compared to Tengyun.
the magnet feel so weak...and it's not good.

but.....

Good thing is the cube is so light for weight and also quiet...
At first,I average around 17 second on this cube(soooo badd for me).I just don't like it at first.I set it up and do about 500 solve and it turn out to be so good..I average around 15 sec(Normal Average) and got a new PB 9.66(First Sub-10!)

Conclusion:I think you should buy it if you aren't an aggressive turner or love quiet cube.I would rate this cube 8.5/10 because i think it could be better with some improvement(Maybe V2 is good?I would try it later).Maybe you should buy RS3M2020 instead for this if you are in a low budget....

Best Cube I've Used

The Dayan Tengyun is a cube that I really recommend. When I first bought the Dayan Tengyun, I had also bought the Gan 356X, the GTS3M, and the Valk 3M. Out of the box, the cube was over lubed to the point where it leaked onto the pieces, but after wiping the outside, I immediately fell in love. After 100 timed solves and random solves whenever I felt like it for all four cubes, the Dayan Tengyun became my main The cube feels soft, is very quite, and the magnets are on the weaker side. I recommend putting weight 5 in the core, and putting Gravitas, Dignitas, and Mystic on the pieces.

Noice.

It is a great cube, but the magnets are too weak. I use it for OH and 3BLD.

Main over Gan X V2

I honestly prefer this over my Gan X V2, probably because it isn't as flimsy and is easier to control. My turning style is light but rough turning would lead to overshooting and some would find this too fast! My set-up for this was DNM-37, Silk and Compound X, but after a few weeks this combo stained the inside pieces so I wiped it down. Any silicone lube like Weight 5 is probably better to make it controllable.
Out of the box, it was super quiet, but after a couple of hundred solves it gets more snappy and not the quietest. I hope more insanely quiet puzzles come out soon so my family won't get annoyed by me drilling E perms at 9pm.
Also, the cornercutting on this thing is insane.

I... I Just Can't Believe My Fingers!

I've had some interesting history with DaYan. In middle school, I had (and still have) a stickerless DaYan 2x2 50mm. It was crunchy and popped a LOT. I then a few years later in high school, I decided to try out a 3x3 of theirs (I think it was a Zanchi? I traded it for a cyclone boys 4x4). It was still made of cheap plastic, and it didn't feel like anything special. I do remember a lot of lock-ups.

But I thought I would try one of their newer models for a spin, and OH MY GOSH, it spins!!! I swear, out of the box, it was like a Gan XS.... I was scared to set this thing up in fear of ruining it with too much DNM-37 or mystic. I settled on only one drop of DNM, and it is an incredibly speedy, yet incredibly controllable cube. my executions feel fast, and I feel special (idk what that's supposed to mean lol). just buy the cube. It's dope. Well done DaYan.
