Product Description

The DaYan Wheels of Wisdom Puzzle is an impressive-looking puzzle that features round wheels for turning each of the sides. Aside from functioning like a normal 3x3x3 cube, the 6 wheels can also turn independently when aligned properly, making the puzzle much more complex and difficult to solve.

Available in Black, White or Stickerless.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Fun solve

If it weren't for the turning, it would get 5 stars easy. The solve experience is a ton of fun and can be done without any algorithms or parity, regardless of the turning I keep coming back to it.

Not good

The idea is cool but after lubing its still very hard to turn, takes about 4 attempts and jiggling between to get it moving just to usually turn it 270 degrees the other way because its the only way it will go

pretty decent

This cube is ok and fun to solve. I rate it only 4 out of 5 because It is very stiff and tends to lockup and and the small pieces come out of place, but that can be fixed with some breaking in and lube.

Great puzzle after some breaking in

A fun solve. Be aware that the stickerless version is slightly more difficult than the stickered version because of exposed colored internal parts, but the difficulty difference is very small. The tiny center triangles tend to catch and can get shifted into places they aren't supposed to be, but this can be prevented with breaking in and careful turning.

Awful Turning. Just Why?

DaYan always has very interesting puzzles. Ones that are just fun to solve but most just need to have really good turning. That's what matters the most. Whats the point of buying it when you can't even scramble it, let alone move it at all. If it takes more than 15 seconds to make a turn then you really need to reconsider your decision on selling this thing. I got it someone turnable but its still a real pain.

Could be so much better

I’ll echo other comments. It would easily be a 5 if the turning better. Even after lube it is difficult to turn. That said, it is a fun cube to solve. Generally puzzles that require no real algorithms to solve are too easy. This was isn’t overly complicated, but it is fun to solve. Once you get past the awful turning. I expected more for the price tbh.

Nice puzzle, needed to be tightened

A lot of people have said that this puzzle turns really poorly, so I had low expectations, and right out of the box that was very true. Turning was quite horrible. But after I tightened all the screws it began to turn significantly better, and even more so after I did two solves on it. The 3x3 turns are now very smooth and the wheel turns are a bit stiff but not too bad. Definitely possible to enjoy a solve on it, as long as you understand that it's not a speed cube. The solve is very intuitive. Essentially, you solve the 3x3 portion first and then reduce the wheels intuitively. The final stage of the reduction can get a bit tricky but is still intuitive. The only algorithms needed for the entire solve are 3x3 algorithms.

Concept: 10/10 Execution: 1/10

An awesome idea; my favorite puzzle might be the Time Machine, and this would basically be the 3x3 version, so I was very excited to get it. Unfortunately, the turning “issues” the Time Machine has (having to line everything up pretty perfectly) are taken to the extreme with this puzzle. Even if everything is lined up perfectly correct, it is still extremely stiff and clunky. After several minutes messing with it, I have still not been able to turn one of the dials due to the tightness and alignment issues.
Very sad for such an anticipated and expensive puzzle. I can only hope it might get better with some tensioning (assuming I can, I’m not sure having not looked at the instructions yet) and lube.

Fun to solve, difficult to turn

4/5 stars because the puzzle itself is very fun and reminds me of the 2x2 Time Machine (my favorite puzzle). The turning however is rather terrible. It gets caught on a lot of the little pieces a lot of the time. So far I’ve done 4 solves with it and added some lube, it still barely makes a difference. Very fun, difficult to turn.
