Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Why is no one talking about this cube?

I ordered this with hopes it would follow the path of the guhong pro and become a viable speed cube. I have to say this cube does not disappoint. I love the quiet smooth feeling, it's somewhat blocky, but not that's not a bad thing. I haven't seen hardly anyone post about this on YouTube. I hope this cube gets the recognition it deserves, this cube is the start of Dayans comeback to the world of competitive 3x3 cubes.

Bad quality control but good cube

Within the first 15 minutes of using this cube one of the center cap magnets came loose and started clicking around. Since the magnets are so close together I can’t easily get it back in place. It’s unfortunate because this cube felt really good for those few minutes I was able to use it.
I really like the weight and how the weight is proportioned.
I don’t like how the adjustment system works or how difficult it is to tell what setting you are on.
The center piece magnets are easy to change. But I don’t know how much of a difference each set has. But it’s pretty easy and relatively fast to change them.
The cube case that comes with it is different from most boxes. It seems like it would work well on protecting the cube. The lid doesn’t sit right on the box I got. It seems like a piece of flashing is preventing the lid from closing flush. But it still works.
Hopefully I can get the magnet situation fixed because the cube is main material. And I hope DaYan can fix these quality issues because I really like the way this cube feels.

Somebody needs to tell Cubehead and/or Tingman to review this

If a big yt channel gives this the publicity it deserves, then so many ppl will be able to experience this beautiful cube. It is nice and smooth but there might be some problems. I haven't lubed it yet but just out of the box it feels kind of slow and is really loud. It is pretty magnet heavy and you can definitely tell compared to like the GAN 15 and the tensioning system is hard to figure out or maybe I'm just not good at that but it also doesn't have a lot of ways to make it looser soooo idk but its pretty good so yea

Instant Main

This cube definitely doesn't get enough attention from the media. This is easily one of the best speed cubes I have ever used. The cap-axis alignment is very unique and gives it great control (as long as you have the strongest cap axis magnets installed). I have used this cube for almost 2 months and it still feels amazing. Unfortunately not UV coated, but the glossy finish still feels amazing. Overall amazing 3x3.

Beyond compare, great for everyone!

I made a review on the "Fancy" version of this puzzle saying it's beyond compare. one of my gripes with *that* version is that it was too fast and loose, and while I love fast/ loose puzzles, I recognized it might not be for everyone.

THIS version on the other hand is controllable out of the box! It's smooth, flexible, and satisfying to turn. It has all the upsides of the "Fancy" version with none of the downsides!

for additional information on how each feels, however: I'd compare this version to the Tornado V3 while the other version feels a little bit more like the TengYun V1. The additional level of control here makes it feel much more premium and high quality, while the less control on the other puzzle just feels effortless.

I honestly recommend this cube to everyone, and I personally don't understand why it's less popular!

The quality control isn’t the best, but the cube is good.

After some days with it i will say it tolerates my style of turning quite well. As phil said. Its bit floppy out of the box, but easily fixed with tighter tension. Corner cutting is good. No issues with the magnets, but might be me getting little lucky. The tension system works great. Learned it quite quickly.

Magnets inside caps lasted less than a day

Quality control is terrible. Save your money. Yes, the cube felt pretty good……for the hour or two it worked before the magnets inside center caps started coming out. And when magnets came out, it named the tensioning system so it released from the ballcore and the cube came flying apart. Spent all the time figuring out and verifying which side of the magnets repelled and getting back into the cap, one fell out again and the SAME THING HAPPENED. Save yourself a headache, look elsewhere.

DaYan ZhanChi V5 M 3x3 (Premium)

I would go for the fancy edition. The cap magnets add unnecessary tightness to the cube, I even tried the lightest setting. Once i took off the magnets that are on the cap, the cube began to shine. I like my cubes fast and slick. 5,1 ( the most loosest) on my tension settings, 4 on my corner magnets and the lightest settings on the middles slices. I have noticed that the cube catches at times, not sure why and its only when doing middle slices. This cubed is quite slept on, there is greet potential here.

Magnets everywhere.

It's a cube and it's got good turning. Looks cool. I get ok times for me. But you are here to read about the problems. There's nothing wrong that you can't deal with. But the cube is held together by the magnets, so when you are adjusting the cube it can be frustrating as it's prone to falling apart. You have to build it layer by layer as you change out the magnets. Another issue I had was was of the magnets fell out during a solve. I had to take the cap off and reset the magnet. Twice. This could be solved with super glue, though I've not done it yet. With all that done, it's a fine cube with snappy magnets that should make anyone happy. But I wouldn't buy it as a competition cube. I got Dayan Guhong Pro+ 56mm maglev at the same time and I'd have to say it would be better for competition. This cube has better edges and looks really cool. I applaud the effort and look forward to refinements. It's fun to use and very likable but if money competition is an issue, get the Guhong Pro+.
