Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Yes, it's a 2x2 shape mod...but to be more accurate...it's a Pyramorphix shape mod (photo #1 shows the Flymouse next to a pillowed Pyramorphix turned 90 degrees). If you enjoy 2x2 shape mods then you'll want to get this unique puzzle...which is basically a 2-color Pyramorphix with no easy corner pieces. Hint: try solving it as you see it in photo #2...with the 4 big pieces on the bottom and the 4 small pieces on top. This upright position will be much easier to achieve than trying to reach the truly solved state where the cube is lying flat. I think of the 4 big pieces as the "legs" and once I solve the first layer I turn the cube over and stand it on its legs in order to solve the top. One twist from the upright position and the cube is fully solved. For fun, try creating the odd, plant-like shape in photo #3...believe it or not it's only 4 moves from the solved state. I've purchased this puzzle in both colors, so that will tell you how much I love it.
My 9-year-old loves his Flymouse. Initially he was worried when he scrambled it, but got it figured out and now it is one of his favorites.
While the flymouse is a shape mod of a basic 2x2x2 puzzle, it gives a much more visually dynamic experience that invites you to solve it differently. The turning will sometimes catch a little, but it otherwise feels and turns well. It's a lot of fun for such a simple puzzle.
Also, the flower shape can function as an orange juicer (note: not actually tested or recommended).
My grandson loves it!
(Yes, I have this cube, but I got it on my birthday, so it doesn't say I got it.) Anyways great cube with great turning. Its my fav 2x2 mod!
At first more difficult to scramble until you do get a good scramble
The cube turned well after I tensioned it to be looser, definitely would recommend, a nice challenge.
