Gan Megaminx

As we've all come to expect from Gan, this quality of this puzzle is superb. The turning is smooth, and the dimples on the corners make grip a bit easier than the average megaminx. Highly recommended for anyone who is trying to practice megaminx or looking for an addition to their cubing collection.

Not for beginner

This puzzle works exactly how you would expect, after it is set up. If you do not know how to set up a puzzle (eg: take it apart, re-lube it, re-tension it, put it back together) then I would suggest buying a different megaminx OR getting a "Pro-Shop" set-up. The magnets on this puzzle are really strong and I needed to loosen it up about 90 degrees & I re-lube mine with the Max-Setup (Command, Fleet, DNM-37).

This puzzle is a lot of money, but if you are looking for a Megaminx that is light weight you have this or the newer DaYan Megaminx. I personally like the shades on the GAN one better, the speed of the Gan one is faster, the magnets are much stronger, but the Gan one does lock up at times.

Like it so far, some lock ups but I haven’t set it up properly and it could be just the shape

Great purchase

I received a megaminx for Christmas and after playing with it for a day I decided that I wanted to upgrade to a magnetic megaminx that I could make adjustments to and make it feel how I wanted. This cube is a lot of fun and gan products never fail to impress. This was my first purchase from the cubicle and my item shipped very quickly and arrived in pristine condition. Thanks cubicle!

You get what you pay for and it is amazing with some dnm 37

Ok so, i would give this 5 stars but i have an issue with it, the pink and dark green sides are for some reason very loose compared to the others, which makes them very fast, idk whats up with that, other than that, great corner cutting, great feel, and just good overall

This just made me into a gan boy not a fan boy

After Setup it is God

I put angstrom lubes in this thing and after breaking it in it felt like god. It has a unique feel and very quick turning with snappy magnets while being very light. Grip isn't bad like others say. It dropped my times like crazy. The colors could be better but I'd say this is the best mega right now if you don't have a galaxy already, and it made megaminx fun for me again!!

GAN makes a Megaminx

GAN makes a megaminx... same GAN feel, 6 extra sides. Its great, turns like a GAN, cuts like a GAN, magnets like a Gan, GES like GAN.

now i just want GAN to make all the puzzles. 2x2 through at least 11x11 and at least upto terminix levels.

but that means im a GAN FAN now.

Excellent Megaminx

To preface this, I average about 1:10 on Megaminx. I had been using the magnetic Galaxy V2 LM as my main megaminx since its release. I decided to get the gan megaminx sort of on a whim. Part of that is that I needed a backup and my only other Megaminxes were not up to par at all. I'm very, very happy with what Gan put out here. It didn't drastically improve my times, it at all, but all I really needed it to do was be good enough to not slow me down. Thankfully not only do I get the same times as usual (with more consistent averages, I might add) but the very light weight makes long practice sessions comfortable. On the subject of comfort, the big thing that might drive people away is the lack of ridges. Fortunately I haven't had a single issue with the grip on here and I find it to be good. The magnet strength is substantial and is made very noticeable with how fast the layers turn. Corner cutting is on par, maybe slightly less than the Galaxy. It's not very noticeable to me. Shades are nice to look at and contrast well. Not as vibrant as the Galaxy's sticker less shades, though. The sound is pretty loud, something unusual for a Gan puzzle. It might be the loudest puzzle I own. I recommend this and think everything about it is great. The only worry you might have is the grip as some people like it and some people don't. Definitely try it out if you can. Thanks for reading.
