GAN 356 M Lite
The GAN 356 M Lite is a modern, mid-range magnetic 3x3 speed cube by popular manufacturer GAN. This version comes with GAN’s unique hand adjustable Numerical IPG Core and blue GES nuts installed. Out of the box, the GAN 356 M Lite has a fast, stable feel that is very reminiscent of a mix between the GAN XS and GAN X V2, two of GAN's most famous flagships. The GAN 356 M Lite checks off all the needs speedcubers have for a nice magnetic 3x3, and makes a good cube of choice for cubers who like GAN engineering with a side of simplicity.
GAN also released a standard version of this cube, with an additional set of spare GES nuts.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

It turns effortlessly, which I don't like. My first cube was the Rubix brand, so I developed a rough turning style. In my personal opinion, the rs3m 2020+ or the rs2m is better
I asked this for my birthday, and my dad got it for me for my bday (thx btw :-)) Just got this in the mail yesterday. OOTB it was a little too tight, it hurt when I tried to take out the center caps, and it couldn't cut 45 well. But, it was also pretty plushy, and soft OOTB. Personally, I really like the feeling of the matte finish on the cube, although it feels a little more slippery. But, I did a couple dozen break in solves, lubed it with Lubicle Standard, and tensioned it to 0.8. It was PERFECT!! About an hour or so later, I got a new PB average with this! So I switched from my Valk Elite M to my GAN 356 M as my main!
I absolutely love this cube! It was my new main right out of the box. I would totally recommend buying this. It has a nice feel, good magnets, and good corner cutting for a great price.
When I got this cube, it was really smooth with great magnets, not too strong but definitely not weak. I broke it in and rivals many good cubes up there at a great price. My friend has an XS and isn't that far off, because besides the cube being light, it corner-cuts very similarly, the smooth feel and the easiness of turning. But, take a look at the price range, and you'll understand why this is a maybe better choice if you're like me and are intermediate to advanced. But, if you want magnet changeability, you've always got the non-lite version that should feel the same. Long story short, if you want to improve your time because of a bad cube, well hallelujah, this is a great choice at a fair price.
Amazing cube for the price. So smooth and turns effortlessly.
This is a very good piece of cubing technology but it has some flaws for example it is very fast and I overshoot quite often which messes up alot of algorithms second of all it is very very loose and it pops alot like alot like 1 in every 30 solves and it should come with stronger springs and magnets the magnets are very weak but they still have an impact and doesn't give you one bit of customization so in my final thoughts if you like loose speedy cubes get this but if you want a controllable cube I would say spend the extra money for the m and if price is not a big factor get the gan x or xs.
This cube is honestly one of the most professional cubes I've tried in my cubing career. The GAN 356 M is a swift, soft-to-the-touch cube out of the box. The medium-strength magnets go great with the turning style of this cube, though a little bit weaker than I preferred. This cube corner-cuts really well out of the box, at past 45 degrees regular and a cubie reverse. The simple GES system of the cube is really easy for me to handle, which is great, as it is my first GAN cube I own. I really like the factory settings on this cube. The main problem with this cube, though, is that the matte-finish to this cube makes the cube a little bit harder to handle than all regular cubes. I'm proud to say that this is an amazing cube out of the box, and I'm really excited to see what setting this up will do to the quality.
