Gans 356 (Master) - Unstickered

This Gans (master) edition is an incredible cube. I used to be a speedcuber a few years back and used a Dayan Zanchi as my main. I got back into cubing a little over a year ago and I knew it was time to purchase a new main as the Zanchi was far outdated.
So, I did loads of research on the best cube and decided that the Gans was the best cube for me. Granted, I was heart set on a V2 because of things I've heard about the original Gans having problems with locking on the center caps. However, I simply could not turn this cube down. It was a beautiful color, and though it may not be considered with the money to some people, I have invested little money into cubing so I thought it was reasonable for such a badass looking cube. I must say, the color is really sweet, especially in bright daylight; however, when it's dark it looks like a regular black cube, which is to be expected since it is transparent.

Now, onto an actual review of the performance of the cube.
First turns of this cube were very strange for me. The cube was extremely loose and floppy and I even had trouble executing a T-perm at my usual speed. I noticed that it was pretty heavily covered in factory lube as well. With these very loose tensions the cube was very hard to control & corner cutting did not live up to its potential.
So, I followed CrazyBadCuber's method of lubing the cube with weight three, and tensioned it to my own preferences. After, this the cube felt amazing. It was extremely fast but I wasn't overshooting whenever I was using finger tricks. However I must add that I did experience quite a bit of catching on the center caps. Although it doesn't affect my solves too much, it bothers me quite a bit. Originally I planned on purchasing the V2 center caps if I did experience any catching on the cube , which obviously I did. So I went online but they didn't have this color available so I was extremely disappointed. I'm not sure if they will ever release this color, but I'm really hoping they do.

As for corner cutting, this cube really is awesome when tensioned well. At my current tensions I can controllably corner cut well over 45 degrees. The reverse only goes about a full cubie without catching on the center cap, but I'm sure it could go further with V2 center caps.

Overall this cube is very nice and is worth the money if you're looking for a very nice looking cube that's very fast for a main or a backup main. I do recommend that you take some serious thinking about the center caps though, because I do experience frequent catching with the V1 caps.

I bought the last one, and I must say that I'll never be selling it, It's just a masterpiece of human mankind. It corner cuts over 45, it moves faster than any cube of mine (including Weilong GTS). I LOVE IT!! THANKS THECUBICLE!!! U MADE MY CUBING LIFE.

I love this puzzle, it's fast and stable. I've yet to come across a pop or corner twist, it doesn't even seem possible from forcing it. It's a great puzzle for an advanced cuber & it stands out from the rest. :)

Extremely smooth motion. I have been able to do 180 and 360 turns with one push. Color is beautiful. 10/10 Would buy again.
