Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great idea for a puzzle. There are a lot of moving parts to this one so some catching is to be expected.
I have not been able to utilize the diagonal cuts in the edges. I understand how they are to move but they catch so bad that I am worried that I will break a piece if I try to turn the puzzle like that.
The inner corner pieces (the corners of the "Son" part of the cube) are constructed in two pieces. a few of these came apart while solving. The part of the piece with the sticker would pop off leaving the other part still in the cube . . . still functional but with no way to know which piece goes where. I tried to take the pieces out by loosening the center screw. Be careful if you attempt this! The puzzle basically melted into a pile of pieces. I was able to reassemble. I super glued the inner corners so they would not separate again. Hint: If you find yourself in this situation, the three core pieces that are different from the rest all go around a single corner. Put all of the corners in as you assemble to core and go from there. After reassembly, the puzzle moved again. While scrambling, an inner corner twisted. I am unable to twist it back and am not really interested in disassembly again.
I have a hard time recommending the puzzle for the price. I feel that for $45 the puzzle should function and pieces should not come apart while attempting a solve.
