The QiYi 3x3 borrows its design from other high-performing 3x3 cubes, yet it strikes a good balance between affordability and performance. Perhaps most notably, its pieces and mechanism most closely resemble those of the Mini ZhanChi 42mm, with a few adjustments.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Out of the box the cube felt very loose and unstable. Corner cutting is not on par with that of the main speedcubes. The cube doesn't cut even 1/3 a cubie. It is a very smooth cube. Tensioning it tighter dramatically decreases the corner cutting while loosening the tensions greatens the risk of a pop. Overall I would not recommend this cube, and would stick to a 42mm DaYan Zhanchi!
This cube is relatively good, and I say relatively because there aren't many good cubes at this size. It doesn't corner cut as well as the mini DaYan but it is smoother and I think the cube faces and the materials used are better than the DaYan. BUT, this cube has corner twists probably the easiest compared to other cubes this size. Over all it's a fun cube and very smooth, and currently I use it over the mini DaYan because I have not lubed the DaYan so it's not as good out of the box.
I recently got this cube and it was ok but there isn't a good tension its either so loose it pops or to tight to corner cut i don't recommend tensioning it out of the box it responds well to wt 1.
Out of the box it was sandy and crispy. I lubed it. It also has terrible corner cutting. I thought that this cube was going to be bigger than it was when I actually received it.
This cube out of the box was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Insanely smooth, quiet, portable, and easy to use if you have little baby paws for hands like me! At school, all of the major cubing kids are begging me to trade my QiYi 3x3 with them for a Pyraminx, ShengShou, basically anything they could that was expensive because they figured it was insanely pricey! This was my first cube, and lone behold, I shall never leave it! Wouldn't give this cube up for my life! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!!!!!!!
This is an amazing cube. After lubrication, it's really fast and smooth, a bit of a cross between the feel of a MoYu Weilong and that of a Dayan Zhanchi. It actually performs better than my Dayan Zhanchi, too. Corner cutting is about 45 degrees, and reverse corner cutting is about a quarter of a cubie at best. The shades are really nice: they're dark and vibrant. And popping is not an issue whatsoever.
You can practice one-handed solving with this cube (since it's rather small), or you could practice speed-cubing with it. I would recommend this as a speed-cubing cube to anyone, fast or slow. It's seriously THAT good.
