Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Ootb the slice move feels very smooth, but the U and D faces are really slow. It also pops very easily, and is very difficult to reassemble.
I don’t like writing bad reviews because most of the time, the cube can fit someone else better than it fits me. However, this cube is an exception.
Out of the box, it was ok, so I lubed it with some Weight 5 on the slice layer and some Mystic on the U and D layers. The performance is sub-par, in my opinion. It catches a lot for being a fast cube, and the corner cutting is nowhere near an acceptable range.
Now for the real issue. Pops. The design does help a little with preventing pops, but that doesn’t change the fact that it still pops a lot. I don’t mind pops, since I can just put the puzzle back together, way the pieces are designed, the mission to reassemble the puzzle just feels like a chore. I’m not sure if the MeiLong Square-1 is the same, but I wouldn’t recommend it anyways, since the YuXin Little Magic Square-1 is better than this MoFang JiaoShi paperweight.
this sq-1 is extremely tight and can barely move! I can't even turn the UD layers without using a full wrist turn. I do not recommend. This sq-1 is awful.
This thing kept on popping even when I wasn't turning(It popped in my backpack) later on I found that the screw was stripped from the core. please do not get.
This cube was literally almost as good as the xman volt sq1 out of the box, but is started popping over and over and nobody even knows how to fix it. If you like the mfsq1, get in stickerless. I seriously don’t recommend this cube but get it if u ❤️ mofang jiaoshi :)
If you wanna get a good square 1. PLEASE get the QiYi QiFa. DO NOT GET THIS ONE. I had a stickerless one and the screw on the white side stripped making the layer very very loose and easily pops. The turning out of the box was very very good and fast, I was impressed so far, and then 2 weeks later the screw stripped and was unable to go very far into the core. So please, save yourself and get the QiYi QiFa. It's the same price but way better from what i've heard. This is the worst square 1 alongside the cubetwist which pops a lot. So please, don't get this one. Get another brand
I think if they added magnets this would be the best square-1 out there
I bought this a while ago, and out of the box it was OK. But after 2 solves, the screw one one side stripped. It was useless. I thought that it was just a defect or something, and the Cubicle staff was AWESOME and sent me a new one. That one stripped pretty quickly too. Get the Qiyi Qifa S if you want a good SQ-1.
It's so smooth, and perfect, 10/10 would recommend to a friend, but i don't have those
I don't understand all the bad reviews, saying the cube pops a lot. This cube never popped on me. When I tried to take the cube apart for the first time it was very hard, because the pieces are so tight. Maybe your cube is to loose or something…. Anyway, the cube, at least the one I got, is very smooth, although it has no cornercutting whatsoever which means that fast turning can sometimes lead to lockups. I just bought the Cubicle Labs Volt M so when that arrives in a few weeks or so, I can compare the MFSQ1 to something, because this Squan was the first I ever bought, but for a beginner Squan it's definitely good. Right now I average about 45 seconds with it(i know im very bad…), but im gonna practice and hope I'm gonna get down to 20 seconds. The Volt is hopefully gonna help. I'd say this squan is good till about sub-30.
